Exclusive Patron Adventure - September 20th, 2024 (Friday)

Set in the time immediately after the party claims the Tear of Creation within the Onyx Tomb, the party must have one last test.  This combat heavy 7-room adventure challenges the party to prove to the pantheon of Chaldea that they are worthy to wield the Tear of Creation.

Times are Changing, and So are We

To more directly name the $1k, $2k and $8k Value Packs, we have tweaked them to be variations of "TD Con Invite Pack". 

• $1k Packs are now called "TD Con Invite" packs
• $2k Adventurers' Guild Packs are now called "TD Con Invite Plus" packs
• $8k Onyx & Wish Ring Value Packs are now called "TD Con Invite Patron" packs

Adventurers' Guild buttons and Patron Pins will not be available in 2027. Access to in-person Bag Check and early event ticket purchases will still be available as they always have been.

• 2027 Bag Check will require players to show either a Badge of Nobility or Shirt of Cat's Gift token.
• TD Con Invite Plus purchasers will receive access to purchase tickets on td.events one day before general sales open.
• TD Con Invite Patron purchasers will receive access to purchase tickets on td.events two days before general sales open. 

 

New "Trade 2" Option for TD Con Invite Patron - Super Condensed Orders

True Dungeon has heard the pleas of Treasure Token collectors who desire more "Trade 2" tokens with their TD Con Invite Patron Super Condensed Packs. While the normal Super Condensed Pack option is still available, collectors can now choose to get more Aragonite, Elven Bismuth, and Oil of Enchantment tokens in exchange for receiving less Trade 1 tokens.

The Golden Ticket

As we've done for many years, we will randomly insert special Golden Ticket tokens into the 2027 Treasure Token Collection. In a typical ten-pack, you could get one of these über-cool tokens as a replacement for one of the pack's Common tokens. Golden Ticket holders are eligible to sign up for special playtest runs at our in-person appearances--making them the first folks to play each adventure or see changes we've made from previous appearances. Participants in Golden Ticket runs get a host of extra goodies including a pack of high-value tokens curated by our treasure goblins and an exclusive GT-only surprise chosen by Jeff Martin with their treasure at the end of the adventure. Continued in 2027: While supplies last, every TD Con Invite Patron pack purchased includes one Golden Ticket token. So, until we run out all purchasers of a TD Con Invite Patron pack are guaranteed to get at least one Golden Ticket token.

Multi-Year Transmutes for 2027 through 2030

There are a handful of Treasure Tokens that can be collected over the next three to four years to create some amazing transmuted tokens. Most of these special tokens come as free swag for purchasing a $250 or larger token order. Please reference page 2 of this free PDF to get all the interesting details. A collector-favorite is the Regal Familiar token: a one-of-a-kind token printed especially for you and your favorite pet! The graphic below shows all the multi-year tokens coming out from 2027 to 2030.

2027 Standard Pack Tokens

In a standard ten-pack, seven of the ten tokens included will be Common rarity.

Condensed saves you the hassle of opening all those ten-packs, sorting them, and then sending them off to be exchanged for Trade tokens. NOTE: Collectors who opt for the Normal version lose roughly 17% of Trade token value when we determine the number of standard packs of Treasure Tokens a Normal order contains.

Condensed Pack Includes:

• 8× Ultra Rare tokens of your choice from either the 2027 or 2026 print runs--mix & match as you like (while supplies last). Two Primary Choices

In addition to all of the above, there are two primary choices to make:

One - An Onyx Choice

Detailed below, this choice determines how many Ultra Rare tokens you get to choose. This choice does not affect how many random URs you receive.

Two - A Condensed or Normal Choice

---Detailed further below, you may choose from Normal (nothing condensed), all or some Condensed (in $1k increments), Super Condensed, or Safehold Super Condensed.--- 

 

-- 3 Different Onyx Choices

Onyx Option #1: C-U-R Onyx Set & 32 URs

All the bonuses listed in the Onyx & Wish Ring Set description above, plus:

• A complete set of Onyx 2027 Common, Uncommon, and Rare (but no Ultra Rare) tokens found in the Standard set, but with black (instead of gold) tokens
• 32 FREE 2027 or 2026 Gold-backed Ultra Rare tokens of your choice.

 

Onyx Option #2: Full Onyx Set & 16 URs

All the bonuses listed in the Onyx & Wish Ring Set description, plus:

• You may select 16 Gold-backed Ultra Rare tokens from 2027 or 2026 (instead of 32 as with Option #1)
• A COMPLETE set of Onyx 2027 tokens! This includes ALL the Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Ultra Rare tokens in the Standard set, but with black (instead of gold) tokens

 

Onyx Option #3: No Onyxes & 34 URs

All the bonuses listed in the Onyx & Wish Ring Set description, plus:

Additionally, after choosing either an Onyx or Non-Onyx option, you next decide how you want to split your order up.

Normal: With this option, you literally get 800 ten-packs of tokens and the bonus items listed above. If you enjoy lifting lots of heavy boxes (~250 pounds total) and physically opening a LOT of token packs, this is the option for you.

Condensed Pack: Choosing to get some or all of your order as Condensed entitles you to certain bonuses not available to Normal orders.

This TD Con Invite Patron Pack includes two different amounts of Treasure Tokens depending on whether you choose Normal or Condensed versions.

Note: You may split your $8k order into eight $1,000 increments using the amounts shown above under the $1k Normal/Condensed options shown above.  Thus, you might choose to split your $8k order so you will receive 7x $1k Condensed Packs and 1x $1k Normal Packs.

Normal Option

In addition to the 800 ten-packs of 2027 tokens, you receive all the following:

They asked if we could make a condensed version available that would approximate what 960 ten-packs look like after the Common tokens were exchanged for Trade tokens. Condensed saves you the hassle of opening all those ten-packs, sorting them, and then sending them off to be exchanged for Trade tokens.  NOTE:  Collectors who opt for the Condensed version gain an extra 20% of token value when we determine what Trade tokens are earned.

One ticket = THREE adventures.  For Gen Con 2025 we are debuting an easy way for players to obtain event tickets for all adventures in this year's three-part grand story-arc.  We’ve created event tickets that allow a player to enjoy all three different adventures 24 hours apart with the same start times.  Thus, a ticket holder can play all three adventures, in the preferred order, at a specific time either in the morning or evening. You gain the same exact swag (and XP) as if you had three different event tickets.

This year’s grand story-arc adventure tells the tale of your brave band of Viking adventurers questing to cleanse their demon-infested ancestral lands by permanently sealing a magical portal.  The savage demons of Helheim use this gate to run amok upon the lands of Runeheim.  Do you have the might and wit to see the Helgate sealed and thus restore your homeland?

Each amazing enhanced adventure features a multiple path choice (where you can choose a puzzle or combat oriented adventure), expansive and immersive rooms, amazing NPCs, and cool animatronic monsters. For each adventure players get a free bag of 10 Treasure Tokens ($10 value), at least 3 random draws from our Treasure Generators, a collectible limited-edition Participation token unique to each adventure, and an XP code to gain official TD XP that players can enter on our website to earn free level-based swag. Those who survive the adventure will also gain a special Survivor button.

"Complete 2025 Adventure Trilogy - Morning Track" - The tickets available on Thursday morning at 11:00, 11:12, 11:24, 11:36 and 11:48 are called "Complete 2025 Adventure Trilogy - Morning Track".  The second adventures will start at 11:01, 11:13, 11:25, 11:37 and 11:49 on Friday morning, while the third (and final) adventures will start at 11:02, 11:14, 11:26, 11:38 and 11:50 on Saturday morning.

"Complete 2025 Adventure Trilogy - Evening Track" - The tickets available on Thursday evening at 19:00, 19:12, 19:24, 19:36 and 19:48 are called "Complete 2025 Adventure Trilogy - Evening Track"  The second adventures will start at 19:01, 19:13, 19:25, 19:37 and 19:49 on Friday evening, while the third (and final) adventures will start at 19:02, 19:14, 19:26, 19:38 and 19:50 on Saturday evening.

Note: One person may buy all ten tickets in a given time slot -- just like normal True Dungeon event tickets.

How It Works: You will appear at TD Registration 15 minutes ahead of the time that appears on your event ticket -- which will be sometime on Thursday.  When you check in with our Innkeeper, you will receive all three of your free 10-packs of Treasure Tokens (one for each adventure) and be given three wristbands (one per adventure) that you will wear to each corresponding adventure.  When you exit the event into the Epilogue area, you will be treated like any other player exiting a normal adventure run.

Taking place after our three 2025 in-person adventures, our Fall VTD offerings continue the story of Runeheim as the people begin to rebuild. With the Helheim Gate closed, it would seem like there are no barriers to prevent the citizens of Runeheim from revitalizing their society on Runeheim's mainland. However, not all is as it seems. Leadership of the people of Runeheim is in disarray, and a new threat looms on the horizon.

Restoration of Runeheim

Olia, the last völva (witch) of Runeheim, summons our heroes to her hut once more with a harrowing task--and a secret she's kept hidden from all the vikings of Runeheim. There are eyes in Helheim that watched their adventure to close the gate carefully, and the owners of those eyes are eager to get back to Runeheim. On top of that, the players are being asked to decide Runeheim's future by selecting three individuals to inherit the Horns of Odin's Wisdom and lead the people into a new age.

VTD Participation Token Transmute

Players who participate in any standard VTD event in 2025 will receive a special Participation token. Each event's Participation token is unique. Players who collect all of the unique Participation tokens for our 2025 VTD adventures will be able to combine them using our Token Exchange Program in order to create the powerful Bifrost Charm! Exciting Swag for Each Adventure!

 

If you have received an IOU for a Bead of Greed with your token order, we thank you for your patience.  We will have more Bead of Greed tokens by mid-November, so at that time you obtain a real token by turning in this voucher.  You can turn it in with any transmute order or in person at any Con in 2026.

If you wish to use this Bead of Greed IOU as part of a transmute token order, then the IOU works perfectly as a substitute for a real Bead of Greed token.  Just include it in your transmute order.

The final plan for making a Mark of Enlightenment will be as follows:

You will make the MoE honoring a specific Saint at the time of crafting. By equipping that token you will obtain the powers of that Saint at no cost. Each Saint, in addition to having the power described in the list below, will have the following power:

In-person Adventure: You may immediately sacrifice your free pack of unopened Treasure Tokens (received at event start) back to your Coach to obtain the powers of another of the 10 Saints for the adventure instead of your own.

True Grind: You may immediately sacrifice 1,000 GP to another non-saint player to obtain the powers of another of the 10 Saints for the event instead of your own.

VTD: As is done with consumables in VTD, you may give 1,000 GP to another non-saint player to obtain the powers of another of the 10 Saints for the VTD adventure instead of your own.

Please see below for the look and powers of each the ten Mark of Enlightenment tokens.  Note that each MoE will have a unique rune, number and "Crafted By:" name.

 

FAQ

Q. Does the St. Lorca power apply to *any* skill checks or just the spell caster ones?

A. Yes, St. Lorca applies to ALL skill checks. That includes Rogues.  

 

Q. When can you use the healing from St. Valla?

A. All Mark of Enlightenment effects are Instant Actions. You can use them at any point in which you would use a Figurine of Power.  

 

Q. For St. Gubb does it have to be an ally that died in the current room, or can it be one that died in a previous room?

A. The player must have died in the same room as you.  

 

Q. Is it still planned to fit all the powers on the text of the token?

A. We should be able to do so. If not, there will be an URL shown.

Q. Do you need to own an Eldritch Runestone to use the Eldritch Runestone power of St. Gubb?

A. Yes, the power forgives having to turn in the token, but you must still have the physical token to present in Coaching.
