Transmuting Started Jan. 9th - Due to the early arrival of the tokens, the 2023 Transmute tokens became available for construction on January 9th, 2023.

Tokens have been a very popular component of True Dungeon since they were introduced at Gen Con So Cal in 2003. Tokens were added so players could experience one of the most interesting and fun parts of adventuring--getting treasure! Treasure Tokens are heavy, and combined with their "gold" color, they have the weight and appearance of a gold piece. Our tokens are VERY durable, water-resistant, and have a special clear laminate that protects the full-color image quite well. Nearly all tokens feature the current year embossed on the back to deter counterfeiting.

The tokens that come in a standard ten-pack are organized into Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Ultra Rare rarity groups. Each pack of Treasure Tokens contains:

• Seven random Common tokens*
• Two random Uncommon tokens
• One random Rare token

*1 out of 100 ten-packs come with one Ultra Rare token in place of one of the Common tokens!

Every player receives a free pack of 10 random Treasure Tokens at the start of their adventure, but players can also purchase tokens online at this website. You can order tokens now by clicking on the STORE tab at the top of this page or by clicking on the TD STORE graphic below. Some players become collectors and trade tokens throughout the year on the TD Forums.

Option #2: Full Onyx Set & 16 URs

Like Option #1, but you get a complete set (1 each of all 20) of the core 2023 Onyx UR tokens. Plus, you may choose 16 Ultra Rare tokens from 2023 or 2022--instead of 32 as with Option #1.

Option #3: No Onyxes & 34 URs

The same as Option #1, but instead of receiving any Onyx tokens, you may pick two more Ultra Rare tokens (34 total) for free during check out.

The Golden Ticket
The 100th 2023 Golden Ticket has been shipped. But since we don't want any of our fans to miss out on the potential excitement of opening an order and finding a fun surprise, we've come up with something pretty cool. In lieu of a Golden Ticket, we're now inserting an Amulet of Treasure Finding into random orders. This long out-of-print token grants the player equipping it FOUR extra Treasure Chips at the end of their adventure. It can also be used as an ingredient when making a Charm of Avarice.

IMPORTANT: Your odds of getting an Amulet of Treasure Finding is DOUBLE that of pulling a Golden Ticket!

We randomly inserted 100 special Golden Ticket tokens into the 2023 token collection. Instead of a Common token in a typical ten-pack of tokens, you could get one of these über-cool tokens. Details for the Golden Ticket events can be found at the URL printed on the token. Golden Ticket participants get a host of extra goodies which include a completely awesome pack of cool tokens and an exclusive GT-only surprise inside a True Dungeon adventure. And yes, we know the token says 60, but after the artwork was finalized and sent to the printer, we decided to make more GT runs available to our awesome fans. There are 80 GT slots available at Gen Con and 20 GT slots available at Gamehole Con. If you pull a GT, go the dedicated GT Signup thread on the TD Forum and sign up for the convention where you want to redeem your GT. Don't delay! Multi-year Set from 2020-2023
Shirt of the Shrewd (a 2023 core Ultra Rare) is the fourth and final token in a four-year Transmutable recipe. When you have all four of these Ultra Rare shirts, you can transmute them into the Arcanum Shirt which grants the wearer +2 to Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, and Focus!

Condensed Packs ($1K each)
Some token collectors don't want to spend a lot of time opening hundreds of ten-packs of tokens. They asked if we could make a condensed version available that would look like what 120 ten-packs would be AFTER the Common tokens were turned in for Trade tokens. Condensed packs save collectors the hassle of opening up all those ten-packs, sorting them, and then sending them off to be exchanged for Trade tokens. During the ordering process, you select what portion of your order you'd like to be Condensed.

Instead of getting the normal 120 packs, you receive the following for each Condensed Pack:

• 4× Ultra Rare tokens of your choice from either the 2023 or 2022 print runs--mix & match as you like

The token is your ticket to a special run of an event at an upcoming convention in 2024.  More details later. At the end of these adventures, you'll get an extra bit of fun as well as some super-sweet swag.

How to Sign Up: Securing your place on a GT run is a two-stage process that needs to be done in this order:

1. Email the photo of your GT token to reserve the slot & class of your choice.
   Check this forum thread to ensure we recorded your slot & class request accurately.
2. After your accurate reservation appears on that post, browse to the Special Redemption section on the Token Exchange Program page and send your GT token in for verification.

Completing the Goden Ticket reservation process gives you the ability to enter your Golden Ticket token into our system and then send the token back to us. This gives us your shipping address for the awesome swag that you'll receive after the event.
Please Note:

• You cannot buy a Golden Ticket from us in this manner. This system is for registering a Golden Ticket that happened to be randomly inserted into your token order or given to you via a third party. When you register your Golden Ticket token and send it in, you will not get it back.
• If you and one or more people are going on the Golden Ticket run together, each person needs to register their Golden Ticket token separately. I.e., do not register more than one Golden Ticket per order.

V2 - Thornbarb Pass continues the adventure as your party follows a treacherous trail over the Rustspike Mountains.  This is part of a year-long quest over five adventures that will lead up to (and flesh out) next year's in-person S-series of modules.  Ticket will be available at www.td.events

All four 2023-2026 Path to Enlightenment fragment tokens can be transmuted into the Mark of Enlightenment which grants a cool (TBA) Relic-level power.

Option #2: Full Onyx Set & 16 URs

Like Option #1, but you get a complete set (1 each of all 20) of the core 2024 Onyx Ultra Rare tokens. Plus, you may choose 16 core Ultra Rare tokens from the 2024 or 2023--instead of 32 as with Option #1.

Option #3: No Onyxes & 34 URs

The same as Option #1, but instead of receiving any Onyx tokens, you may pick two more 2024/2023 core Ultra Rare tokens (34 total) for free during check out.

The Golden Ticket
We randomly inserted 100 special Golden Ticket tokens into the 2024 token collection. Instead of a Common token in a typical ten-pack of tokens, you could get one of these über-cool tokens. Details for the Golden Ticket events can be found at the URL printed on the token. Golden Ticket participants get a host of extra goodies which include a completely awesome pack of tokens and an exclusive GT-only surprise inside a True Dungeon adventure. If you pull a GT, go the dedicated GT Signup thread on the TD Forum and sign up for the convention where you want to redeem your GT. Don't delay! There are a limited number of slots for each convention--first come gets first pick.

REMEMBER: The more tokens you buy, the greater your chance of finding a Golden Ticket!
 

Multi-year Transmute from 2023-2026
2023's Greaves of Absorption (a 2023 core Ultra Rare) was the first token in a four-year Transmutable recipe. Greaves of the Stalwart (a 2024 core Ultra Rare) is the second. When you have all four of these Ultra Rare greaves, you can transmute them into the Arcanum Greaves. The Arcanum Greaves' power has not been announced yet, but it's going to be the second token in the impressive Arcanum set!

Condensed Packs ($1K each)
Some token collectors don't want to spend a lot of time opening hundreds of ten-packs of tokens. They asked if we could make a condensed version available that would look like what 120 ten-packs would be AFTER the Common tokens were turned in for Trade tokens. Condensed packs save collectors the hassle of opening up all those ten-packs, sorting them, and then sending them off to be exchanged for Trade tokens. During the ordering process, you select what portion of your order you'd like to be Condensed.

Instead of getting the normal 120 packs, you receive the following for each Condensed Pack:

• 4× Ultra Rare tokens of your choice from either the core 2024 or 2023 print runs--mix & match as you like
• 1× Ring of the 3rd Circle token--the 3rd part in a 5-year story arc token! Transmuting all 5 Rings grants your character a special power and grants you access to Ring Con.
