TOPIC: Class Card QR/URLs

I don't want to hijack the player mat thread , but thinking about that gave me another idea: remember how character class cards used to be double sided, and the back offered a mini-tutorial with tips on how to play your class effectively?

As both a player and a coach I'm very glad that we now print the cards with Lv4 on one side and Lv5 on the other side, but an unfortunate side effect is that most new players never see those mini-tutorials anymore.

My proposal is to create a URL for each class, e.g. truedungeon.com/monk, and print that URL plus a QR code to it on the 4th Level side of each character card. Maybe with a very simple label, like "Monk tips: truedungeon.com/monk"

When you visit the page, the first thing you see is

"First time playing True Dungeon? Check out truedungeon.com/welcome , then come back here."
(rationale: the welcome URL is also on the mats, but this gives people another way to discover it, and clarifies which order will make the most sense for someone reading both.)

Next, you get the Tutorial for playing the monk class, which can initially be lifted straight from the old B side, and then potentially tweaked a little bit if there are new things we want to say since whenever this text was written.

Finally, I propose a new section called "How to Equip a Monk" that covers any special tips you'll want to know in the coaching room, such as:

• leave your Melee Mainhand and Melee Offhand slots empty, unless you have weapon tokens that are specifically compatible with Flurry of Blows (often abbreviated "FoB")
• try to equip a ranged weapon, in case you encounter a monster you can't reach with your fists
• (TODO: how to equip bracer weapons , since apparently we printed a new one for 2027)
• Monks cannot wear most Armor, but ask your fellow players if anyone has a Robe they don't need

I like your ideas here. Another possibility would be to go back to putting the mini-tutorial on the back side of the 4th level class cards with tips on how to play the character. Use these cards for sealed events. The four-room dungeon sealed events are all 4th level and this would give an option for those who have not checked out the QR items that add more depth. The mini-tutorial would also help new players select a class they would like to play.
