It looks like nobody else is claiming cleric so I'll grab it.

I have some extra fire resistance items if the group needs some. I was planning on doing a scroll of flame protection (-2 dmg for the party) in every room as well. If there is demand, let me know and I'll post what extras I have available (singles of some things like the ring of fire elemental command but quite a few of the beads of fire resistance, charms, etc..)

Probably good to talk through what DR we can all get too. I can do 20 right now, but if I had either the fire elemental ring or charm of elements could do 25. I think I have every other item and do have some of the breathing ioun stones to share.

My tentative Druid build for this run, subject to change depending on what I learn from an earlier run. :)

Currently 20 Fire DR (including Charm of the Elements which TDCC doesn't math), could get there more efficiently and regain an IS slot by borrowing a Charm of the Lava Fiend if there are enough extras available.

If we decide to run Epic (fingers crossed!), I'm seriously considering just swapping Ring of Fire Absorption (-3) for Ring of Fire Resistance (-50% after subtractions) and accepting some burn, rather than sacrificing multiple slots for -1 each...

Woof. I'm only doing 4 fire DR. I thought I had the bead of fire resistance, but I can't find it...so if I can borrow one from Fred and his +2 for the party, I'd be up to 8, but not stellar. I'll be dealing some decent damage as monk, though. Glad we have a cleric!

I have the following to lend for this run:

2x Bead Firehold (-3 Fire)
3x Ring of Fire Absorption (-3 Fire)
2x IS Ruby Rhombus (-3 Fire)
4x Stalker’s Faerie Charm (-2 Fire in relevant part)
4x Greaves of Absorption (-2 Fire in relevant part)
2x IS Iridescent Spindle (sustains character without air)

I can look for more copies of the above if we need more than that. Unfortunately, I don’t have any extra Charms of the Elements or Underling Druid to lend.

I will look as well and see what extras I have exactly. My assumption is that the cleric will not be able to heal through the realm damage easily as it would be per turn and the dm would probably keep that going until you reach some sort of safe space.

I encourage everyone to read the special rules for this year's Grind (linked here ) carefully. The realm-based damage is PER ROUND. And it doesn't account for whatever turn-based damage the monsters are going to do. (I doubt they're going to sit back and let the background damage take us out.) Players might be able to get by taking 1-5 damage from the Plane of Fire per round, but I wouldn't count on the healers being able to deal with 10+ per round background damage on top of everything else.

I can contribute 2x Gloves of Flameward (-2 Fire), or 3x if I don't end up wearing one myself.

Also Amulet of Soothing Waters (-2), Ring of Gaea (-1), and Earcuff of Druidbane (-1) which I don't plan to wear myself -- these are decidedly second-tier options in terms of bang for slot, but might be useful to someone in the right circumstances.

I could potentially loan my Ring of Fire Resistance (-50% after subtractions) to somebody else who needs it more.

There's also the Druid spell Protection from Energy, which can immunize 1 person for 1 room. I'm not currently equipping anything that would allow me to cast that more than once, but we can talk about it as a party strategy (perhaps involving Cleric's Restore Spell) if needed. I think last year's Grind was something like 5 "rooms"?

I strongly second third Daniel's (edit: and BeLinda's) comments about *not* assuming the party healers will be able to heal you huge numbers of ambient fire damage that occur every single round... it's not practical for spell economy or action economy.
