What is classified as "same kind"?
Is "healing" a type of kind? Is rarity a type of kind? Is bull's strength the same kind of potion as cat's grace as they're both UC stat boosters? The rare strength potion already has a restriction blocking stacking other strength potions.

Would it make sense to rephrase the restriction to "never the same name in a room"? Or is the design intent to limit the amount of healing potions that this can let you drink in a combat as a free action?

I was thinking same name. You could take a different named healing potion each round. Or a different named strength boosting potion each round.

Agree with needing to "same" before name on the token.

Hopefully Jeff will clarify

Jeff Martin wrote: Here are the big guns. The Lucky Cloak are a part of the Lucky URs from 2020. Note to Lords and Ladies - for balance and stacking reasons, all the URs that transmute up to class-specific Relics were moved to Neck slot items. And hopefully the new text on Jinn's Magebook Medallion will make it easier to understand.

Checking the existing Relic/Legendary Necks ALL of the existing ones are stackable with their UR counterparts for those that have a neck Relic/Legendary. Only the Paladin and Bard have UR/Relic/Legendary that do not stack.

Given that all existing class Relic/Legendary necklaces can stack with their ultra rares it seems like the remaining three should be able to as well.

The slot could be used for something else - maybe nightshade?

We agree once again! Is Nightshade’s too good to be reprinted? Or do we save it for another (next) year?

+1 to Nightshades, but with the number of requests we’ve already had for it, and the fact it hasn’t been in any revision of the set, I don’t have much hope it will appear this year.

+1 to this.

Having said that, I am happy to see Stu's Pendant given a chance for a reprint, and think a lot of folks would love it!
If it doesn't make the final cut (and I acknowledge with the solid argument for Sweetwood as the base of the Fighter transmute, it might not)... then I would hope it's on the Short-list for next year as a reprint.

I'm also happy for the folks who've been wanting a reprint on Earcuff of Orbits, and the +4 Str gloves (even if they are re-"skinned" this year ; )

And while I'm smiling and nodding at the monitor, I'd also like to give a shout-out to the new mechanics for Cranston's Hat.... I like. I like it a lot.

The real question is that if we see other potions similar to Potion Thor’s Retort in the future, will Charm of the Brewmaster let me burp a different flavor at my foes as a free action each round? :woohoo:

edwin wrote: Charm of the Brewmaster Questions
- Is this a FA each turn in a room?
- Is the restriction of being a different potion applied to an individual room or the run?

Like the change to URs used for tranmuting to class-specific relics being in the neck slot.

How does this sound? More clear?

May drink
potion as a
Free Action
(so long as the
same kind is
not repeated
in room)

Does "kind" mean exact name or anything with the same type of benefit? If exact name, then just say "so long as the same potion is not repeated in room".

Add 5 scrolls to your character build (common/uncommon, wizard usable)

These can be cast as 1st level spells.
These will get spell checks to gain +3 damage as normal
Does this change slide scrolls to non slide or what is done with them? Do they gain +3 damage if they hit?

The top of the card is marked? Does this mean we get 5 extra 1st level spell slots?
Can you still swap existing 1st level spells?

Sorry...I had a brain fart and used a poor version. Here is what the token should have said:

“Adds” 5 new
1st lvl spells to
player card by
designating 5 scrolls
(Common/Uncommon)
in Coaching. Treat as spell
being cast in all ways when
used & DM marks off 1st level
spellbox of caster’s choice

This should be much clearer. Basically, you get more 1st level spell selection...but not more castings of first level spells.

As a slotless it's kinda cool to have the variability but I don't see it getting used much when there are so many valuable neck slot tokens

A slotless spellbook would be pretty cool for wizards. Maybe Clerics can get a "Book of Prayers" equivalent and bards can get a "Song book"

I like the idea of book of prayers and song book.

What does Lucky Cloak transmute to?

The designation under it is for the /sets, which they added along with the /multi-year and /transmute

Speaking of:

truedungeon.com/sets - Gives an error page

Thanks! I will get that fixed.
