Would someone mind posting the stats for each token? Thanks!

This was true the first patron run, not this year, when we all got shoes of the serpents, or at least I did.

I go to multiple cons, and while I would like different tokens at each con, I realize I am in the mimority.

If we did go away from different completion tokens I would like to see some sort of different bonus established.
Right now I consider completion tokens the closest thing to a "loyalty program" that TD has to encourage attendance at multiple cons.

Again, I realize I'm in the minority.

I only go to Gen Con and I like the bunches of completion tokens. It's something for collectors to chase, and gives rise to surprising scenarios, we've got a few completion tokens worth over the cost of a run now - which is cool.

I know some collectors are like "woe is me, it's hard to collect them all" - I really don't understand this perspective. If it's not fun for you to collect them all, then stop! Clearly it's fun for some others.

I think this is basically the best argument against it, but I realize that's a matter of perspective and can to a degree be mitigated by future sets ie boots of inferno step/and next years boots of lightning.

I was commenting more from the seeming logistical issues its causing. My party would have very much liked getting charms of the elk that were given out earlier at Gen Con, but they ran out mid con so we got the earcuff of the light (or whatever its called). I have no concerns if they can manage inventory enough that they don't run out mid con.

I remember this question coming up before TD even started going to Cons-other-than-GenCon.

Some of the points made at the time were:

  • There should be some kind of perk for going to TD events at other cons, because otherwise no one (*cough*) would go just to run the same adventure over again.

  • It'd be wrong to offer additional XP for people to run the same adventure at different cons. All that would do is turn XP into a status symbol of "look how rich I am and how many Cons/Vacation days I can afford."

  • It'd be wrong to offer additional XP for people to run different adventures at different Cons, if those aren't also available at GenCon. Because GenCon is where it started, and you should be able to get Max XP for the year by running all the adventures just at GenCon. (With a side of "how dare anyone get to see exclusive content which isn't available to *me*)

  • Maybe it'd be okay to offer different Completion tokens at different Cons, because those can be transferred (unlike XP). If someone really wants to get one of the completion tokens from another Con, they can buy it, and that's okay. (But we don't want people trying to sell XP codes for other Cons, 'cuz that's wrong.)

  • Also, it might incentivize people to run multiple times at a Con if they knew they might be able to sell or trade their extra completion tokens to people who weren't able to make that Con.

  • Alternatively, no one should get nothing for playing any adventures which I didn't get. I resent that someone might somehow take away my place in the pecking order. (Okay, maybe I'm paraphrasing here.)

The upshot was that people seemed pretty okay with the idea of Completion tokens as a kind of regional "Gotta catch 'em all" trade-able collectible.... and it was better than a number of the alternatives.

That is interesting. I was looking to get the earcuff that took away darkrift damage...ohhh well.

Interesting. Makes me wonder if the old GHC tokens will pop up elsewhere.

Maybe like GenCon where you never sure what you might get until you get it.
