It's been a few years since we've had shurikens/throwing knives/non-skull or seed thrown projectiles

For the vast majority of new players, just getting a 10 pack of tokens, they probably wouldn't see the TE token as useless.

I think it's good sometimes to challenge the status quo instead of just going with the way it's always been. :)

Crazy thought. What if there was a +1 non-stacking TE that's an uncommon? (yes, I know this is the rare thread). This way, more friendly (shows up more) in newbie packs and rare red players still have a shot at getting a "useful" rare.

I wasn’t talking about new players. i was talking players that have been playing awhile but don’t buy tokens. They may already have a rare TE. For them it would be useless.

Rare TE tokens tend to be worth more than an average rate. If they find it useless, they could probably trade it for one or more rares they like.

Goggles of the Bliss says that this is more of an uncommon than a rare.

They tend to be more because they are every other year. Every year will cut their value distractly.

Would there be some interest in a weapon like this?

+1 Prismatic Quarterstaff - Normal Damage Wheel, +1 All Saves

A different spin on a melee weapon for a wizard, or others that are not likely to make melee attacks.

Seems overpowered for a rare weapon, imo. Unless by normal damage wheel you mean the damage wheel of a non +1 weapon.

That's possible, but just a guess. I still think they would be worth more than the average rare.

Yes - a typical D6 damage wheel (or whatever a quarterstaff does). You could remove the +1 and just have it be Prismatic Quarterstaff as well - I don't think it really matters because the classes that would likely use it would not actually want to attack with it.

Ohh, from another thread.

Monk Flurry of Blows compatible weapon: +1 Nunchucks

It looks like DnD has Nunchucks as a d6 damage wheel. Might be too good at d6+1 given the Adem Bracer is d7+1 and also uses the wrist slot. Maybe d5+1?

I think “d6+1, may only wield nunchucks” (so no Viper/Mug/Orb/Stein) would be fun. At least it’s fun to visualize.
