Two wands both rare dealing 8 pts of damage each now become two wand attacks per round doing 20 pts of damage each. Turning in two rare wand tokens.

This would make me think about using wands again.

How does each Wand attack add up to 20 damage?

Brain fart. Should be 16 each. 8 from wand, 2 from ioun stone and up to 6 from bardsong.

Still pretty impressive. I think most bardsong will max at +4 (5th Level UR).

5th-level wizards would add two more so 18?

16 with normal max bardsong of 4. 18 with 6 bardsong.

Minor brain fart.

It would be nice if there were finesse melee weapons available. Perhaps a whole set U/R/UR

+1 Dueling Rapier 8/6/6/4/3/3
One-Hand
Bard, Fighter, Ranger
Add Dex bonus to hit instead of Str bonus.

U: no +1, 7/5/5/4/3/2
UR: Add Dex Bonus *AND* Str bonus to hit.

-t

Please add Rogue. They need more weapons as it is.

The rare version basically exist today in the form of thrown weapons.

Adding Dex and STR bonus to to-hit only on the UR is interesting. It initially struck me as too good, but I'd have to think more about it. At some point more to-hit causes diminishing returns - on the other hand I'm concerned about creating a "finesse weapon gap" where on legendary / epic you have to be using finesse weapons to hit.

I had the same reaction at first, but if it is a +1 weapon it sits in a bit of an interesting place when compared to +3 and +5 weapons. While you CAN boost str and dex a non trivial amount, having to cover a gap of +4 vs a Legendary means the legendary is probably going to be the better choice most of the time.

The Legendary fighter build I have on my phone runs at +23 to hit with Welfor's and +11 to hit with Thor's. With a +1 finess weapon that used Str and Dex as +hit modifiers, using the same build, it would be +25 to hit. The build doesn't have much room to add more to either Dex or Str without trading one for the other, so I think a legendary build would stick with Welfor's.

Its probably hard to break at lower token levels as well, as just skimming the builds I actually have tokens for, I have a dex deficit. Probably the only class that would really excel with a +dex and +str finess weapon is ranger? You could toss in a ton of dex, a little str, and be able to use both ranged and melee effectively.

Scroll of Acid Effusion - 5 points of acid damage to all enemies.

Scroll of Magic Missiles - 4 points of force damage to all enemies

Scroll of Eldritch Squall - 3 points of Eldritch damage to all enemies, bonus damage added to this scroll is force damage, types cannot be modified.

The previous seem like “going back to basics” type scrolls. The following are more curious ideas I wanted to capture.

Melodious Squall Scroll - 5 points of Sonic damage to all enemies. Counts as Bard Song with +2 damage when cast by a bard.

Scroll of TouchingHeartfelt Words - 1 point of healing to all players, 3 points if cast by a Paladin.

Scroll of Wizarding - 5 points of Eldritch damage to up to three enemies. Wizards only

The area effect ones might see some play but less than 8 pts of damage for a disposable rare seems kinda thin. There are many wands that do at least 8 at rare so I can’t imagine spending a rare for less than 8 damage. During a normal (non grind) run, I’m not likely to run out of modifiable spells that will provide higher damage and not cause me to spend a rare token. The area effects could be useful in the right situation

That is why I made them all AoE in some way. The Wizard only I limited slightly unless you have fewer than 4 enemies but also gave a huge benefit to, added damage being eldritch, all damage that is eldritch, is huge.
