+1

Someone earlier mentioned using envelopes. I'm slightly worried they could rip/be accidentally opened easily. I wear cargo shorts to TD and put a lot of stuff in them. Most paper products that go in my pockets do not come back out the same way they went in. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that has this experience.

I do think envelopes would be the practical solution and you could use tyvek ones which are very durable.

My idea was using treasure bags and zip ties, I like the idea of small envelopes better. +1 as well.

Yup - self sealing plastic envelopes take some real effort to get into.

They are available in sizes large enough to hold a token binder sheet.

The current version of the party card has one column for total treasure, but it used to list all three TEs in separate columns. The problem is there are now eight TEs (not counting artifacts) and more are planned in the future. That's WAY too much to cram onto the party card.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .
If I write something in teal, it should not be taken seriously

Ah.

You could print the matrix on the back, but most parties won't use it so you're wasting toner.

Maybe an ancillary "card" then? You could probably fit two on a sheet, and use a magic stamp or notary-style embossing tool to prevent counterfeit. Either way, you need a way to keep folks from changing it between check and pull. Maybe cross out the ones you don't have, instead of marking the ones you allegedly do.

This is going to be really unpopular, but the most foolproof way to do this is to just have the treasure desk by the training rooms. Show your tokens, get your TE bonus treasure chips and enter the training room with your tokens. Nobody else has to even see them then, not even the XP desk.

In epilogue, you get your sticker, completion token(s) and other three chips.

Or, get all that up front also, and just grab your survivor button on the way out.

Agreed. Apparently the Issue statement was incomplete.

So what do people think about the new ruling?

Seems like some players do not like physically removing their tokens and having to hand them to the players they are lending to.

Any other thoughts?

As you (or someone) brought up as long as the epilogue volunteers are trust worthy, which I have no reason to believe they are not, I am fine with this. I do have a question about how the epilogue room will be handled. I want to go first so I can get said TE tokens back from those that have borrowed them. They are my friends but things get missed placed so I would rather get them back from right away vs waiting till someone discovers they accidentally took it home.

I think there will be a lot less loaning of tokens to strangers, and my proposed subsidized newbie run is obviously canceled. Might still do one, but the tickets won't be discounted.

But if Jeff thinks it's the best way to go for the good of TD, then I believe him. Nothing else to say.

Brad

If you are really worried about loaning out TE's to new people you could ask for collateral. Get their drivers license or something just work it all out ahead of time so there are no surprises. If they are new people they are unlikely to know you handed them $1,000+ in tokens. Since I am not against tackling someone attempting to take my tokens or better yet having a friend tackle someone over tokens, this won't affect me much. I loan out builds so the TE's will just be part of the builds I get back. I just will check them better after getting them back.

I think the best approach is to not loan tokens to people you don't know and don't trust to give them back. Doing something like getting their driver's licenses, or tackling them if they take off with your tokens, seems to be asking for trouble.

I don't know about that. The game library at every convention does that.

But it's probably moot, unless I can put BC on retainer as an enforcer :)

In past discussions on the forum, I have suggested driver's license as collateral but someone else pointed out it is relatively easy and cheap to get a fake license....
