Sounds like these would be great for those without many tokens and for sealed runs, but bad for those that play at the rare level. I think it sounds good overall as long as there aren't too many in the set of 40 rares.

I think it would be great to have one per year, and then cycle through non matching slot combinations. I'm thinking things that are generally considered DnD slots (see the Baulders Gate Paper doll as an example) would only ever include one "part" of the token. For example with much room for tweaking:

Warding Regalia
All rings and Earcuff slots:
+3 all saves, +3 HP. (Rings are a "typical" DnD slot, but earcuff is not)

Multifaceted Ioun Stone
All Ioun Stone Slots:
+1 All Saves, -1 fire, cold, shock, acid, poison damage.

Winged Sandles
Boots, Shin... uhh, bead?
+2 dex, featherfall

Shoulder Length Gloves
Hands and Wrists:
+2 AC, +2 Str

Equipping all of the above, along with my Coveralls suggestion would be 5 tokens, and you would still have:

Head
Neck
Eyes
Back
Main hand / offhand melee and ranged
Torso
3 charms

Actually there is a fundamental difference. If you had:

Master Medallion
+1 to all attributes, use neck and both ring slots

Tight gloves
+2 to damage, use glove and both ring slots

You could only use one of them. If they were

Master Medallion
+1 to all attributes, cannot equip rings

Tight gloves
+2 to damage, cannot equip rings

Then you could use them both.
But on the topic:

Chains of Construct
+3 to damage (all). Uses both neck slot and one ring slot.

I don't have my thoughts completely in order on this idea, but I am initially very skeptical.

What purpose do we serve in giving someone ~3 token worth of tokens in 1 token?

Good for:
* Player on sealed pack run
* Brand new player
* Player participating in some kinds of intentionally limited resources runs

My concern though is that its 3 tokens for the price of 1. Why do we want that?

Bear with me. Consider an exaggerated version of the token you are designing:

Rare - +1 Enchanted Sword - All but Monks and Wizards
Melee mainhand
Damage wheel: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
You are considered to have equipped: An Ioun, 2 Earcuffs, Neck, Torso, Back, Wrists, Legs, Boots
Conveys: +3 to saves, +7 AC, +2 fire damage to melee, and free movement

This token uses the slots of, and produces a slightly inferior effect to, equipping: Ioun Stone Beryl Prism, Earcuff of the Bliss, Earcuff of Intellect, Necklace of Natural Armor, a +5 AC torso armor, +2 Cloak of Resistance, Bracers of Fire, Pantaloons of the Underdark, and Boots of Agility.

Is this a good token?

I would say no, it is not a good token. And not because it's "too powerful" in terms of the benefits it provides for the slots it takes up.

I think it's not a good token because it is just fundamentally at odds what a collectible, slot based game is trying to do - namely get players interested in filling out slots and slowly upgrading tokens.

I think the proposed token is too far out on the spectrum of the above. I would look for an exchange rate like "uses 3 slots to get the effect of 2 slots in one token" so there is clear incentive to upgrade:

Adventurers Coveralls - Rare - Shirt, Pants, Waist slot:

+2 to STR, +3 HP

(e.g. you get a Belt of Ogre Power and a Shirt of vitality in one token, but you have to give up your pants slot for it).

I don't see melee offhand and ranged offhand as two different slots. I completely get why folks might see them that way and I'm not saying they're wrong. It just so happens that I mentally process that as two sides of the same coin.
