So I will be attending at least 2 true dungeon events this year, gen con will depend on housing lottery or if my VIG friend gets an extra room for me. Either way that means multiple events this year yeah gameholecon and Celebration. I was wondering if there is any problem saving treasure pulls during the year for different events. I heard some rumors about the prebuilt treasure pulls of 50 and such having been really amazing at gameholecon and was debating on saving up my treasure pulls to use them all at gameholecon for some of the pre made bags. Just making sure that is allowed.

As some that has LOTS of pulls from WYC, GHC, and GC. As seen them from both treasure boxes and from the 10, 50, and 100 bags, I can tell you it is the same mix. There is nothing special about the pre-done bags. Sometimes they are really good sometimes they are not.

That said it very likely you can use GC treasure pulls at GHC. I am not certain if they will be using 2016 or 2017 treasure chips at TDC but it will be 2016 treasure according to what Jeff has previously said. If it is 2016 chips then you likely will not be able to save them to use later. If they are 2017 chips then you likely can.

It didn't happen at GHC but at WYC the year before they did run out of treasure to pull so people who had pulls left ended up having to pull at gencon. There is occasionally some leeway.

Generally speaking if you want to do that and know you are safe (if they are using 2016 loot at TDC which I doubt) just ask Jeff on site. If he approves it you are good to go.

They ran out of prefab bags at GHC this year too. Jeff and co were kind enough to stay up all night repacking some more so there was still something for the volunteers on Sunday, but grain of salt the prefilled bags tend to go quite quickly.

Arcanist is talking about Treasure Pulls not the bags....I believe. Yes the bags go quickly but somethings the treasure does too...lol.

At another WYC they ran out of Treasure Chips because many people were saving them from GC so they starting making people do treasure draws instead of getting Treasure Chips.

I didn't even get my prefab bags I got my special token but that was about it. Though I can't remember if part time volunteers got any bags, I thought we were supposed to. Either way I did enjoy setup and it was an interesting experience helping build the sets.

I ran into that at gencon, especially if you came off a late evening run. Had to come back Sun morning for my pulls.

Pure speculation/observation on the bags (10 counts anyways). When you get a 'hot' one it feels real spectacular. Otherwise they felt mediocre, maybe something with seeing all your pulls in a glance vs the time involved in pulling 1 by 1 maybe?
We're all the kind of people who enjoy the game on a "meta" level. We like talking about the game year-round. We buy tokens. We enjoy crafting. We get together during the off-season if we can. We are a very skewed demographic that way. -Raven

I do hope they have taken a rise in treasure into account this year.

Max tokens per run went up by 20 with the new IS and I would assume MOST players at TDC will have full treasure. Probably 50% or so at GHC. There tends to be a moderate amount of veterans helping out new players at GHC from what I saw.

Even when I got the 10 or 50 count bags, when I got to the Hotel I still pulled the tokens out one at a time. :)

I think I have had to come back Sunday for pulls at GC any time I had a late night run.

It does get interesting when you literally have 600 treasure from the weekend tho :P

Good point, i have no idea on the expectation of new players but kinda think the point of TDC is that it's a event for veterans and long time fans. Hate to say but few things besides TD get me to commit to a 9 hour drive for what's a 2 day mini con.

Good point on treasure, since most vets (or at least those of us traveling, odds are have maxed out or damn near it regarding treasure). GHC at least from my observations was high low, new players or the vets that traveled in with gear/loot tokens.

There are also a fair number of long time players that don't invest heavily in tokens and therefore don't have much TE tokens. I expect there will be at least a few of them at TDC.

That said Arcanist you need to track your pulls this year. I want your data...lol.
