TOPIC: What are you doing for fun?

Re: What are you doing for fun? 11 years 9 months ago #25

P Circus is a lot of fun...If memory serves it is in or near the fashion district...you have some good shopping there...and the people are the streets tend to be more of the PUNK ROCK variety...at least that was the way it was in 86!

If the punk rockers from 86 are still there in the same clothes, PUNK would be the right word to describe them! PEEE-UUUWWW!

No dear - that would be the Grunge die-hards... (but not sure that caught on in the UK)

Ahh, what the heck! I'll do thursday nights also. So make it triple the fun every week.

Picadilly Circus is a large downtown shopping area. It reminded me of Times Square. Come to think of it there were lots of punks around there. I thought about taking a glaive to them. We got near the rocks at Stonehenge but not near enough to touch them - not allowed. I think it was worth it. The kids didn't think so. It was a long ride. The large churches in the countryside were memorable - especially the basements. Like I said, the tombs were cool - full body stone carvings on the tops of the coffins, and you know they're old. The British museum was cool. We used the tube in London - it was efficient. We rented a car for the countryside. The non chain hotels were a downer - service is not a priority as it is here. we ended up going back to the chains.
Of all the traits of humanity, there is only one we do not share with other species, which sets us apart and makes us unique
-- the ability to imagine.
