TOPIC: DnD 4th Edition!!!!!!!

Who'da thunk it....<br /><br />But anyway I am curious to hear everyone's thoughts about 4th and if TD will change any with Wizards being its major sponsor.

<br /><br />It'll be up to Jeff, but we don't follow a strict 3 / 3.5 version of the rules currrently.  We still have some 1st edition rules.  We'll have to see.<br /><br />We used to say Taco (leaving out the H sound or saying it quietly and stressing the T) instead of "TH"ACO<br /><br />The thing I do think might be nice about 4th ed. is the whole digital part.  It might allow for our group to get together more than 2 weekends a year to play. If we can play online maybe we'll do it.  We'll see.

<br /><br />They had a great time.  I just wish their school didn't start the same week, I would have them camp out with me in the Tavern.  Heck, with the two of them I could justify getting a room.  <br /><br />I can just Imagine writing a note.  Dear Mr. Principle, my boys will be a week late to school to go to a gaming convention.  ;/ <br /><br />If the older boy wasn't really into Football, I might risk it.  Principle I might be able to fake out, Football coach never.  <br /><br />My younger son is working on a new series of Ocarina songs for next year. 

Hmmm... I had a professor in college that said he would always take vacations as a legitimate excuse for missing class - because you had the opportunity to gain some kind of life experience that you could not gain in a classroom.<br /><br />He didn't accept doctor visits as an excuse though - he said that all the GOOD doctors were in the hospital during the day and had evening hours for their other patients.  ?!?!

For now, I skipped pages 3-5.<br /><br />Paskey - 4DVENTURE.  Garbage.  It was so poorly designed that, in general, people had no idea what it was referring to.  I still don't know.  I left the key behind.  It might have been a nice momento, but oh well.  Next time, if you're going to go to the trouble of designing something, make sure your audience has a clue what it represents.<br /><br />WOTC - My general opinion of WOTC is very low.  It was extremely crappy of them to come out with 3.5 and then even huge eratta for that.  If you're going to design a new set of rules for gaming, get it right the first time.  If you don't, supply free copies of the new material to everyone who purchased the first goof-up you produced.  I hope never to be tempted to the dark side to buy 4th+ editions.  WOTC either does a pathetic job of managing its projects and presenting a complete product, or they purposefully screw over their loyal customers so WOTC can rake them for more money.  Either way, their action suck.<br /><br /><br /><br />JKW
