TOPIC: On a personal note...

Well first post-surgery follow-up went well - I have a few exercises to do, but no bending of the knee yet.  Besides the swelling is still a bit much to deal with...<br /><br />Take a peek - this is what it looks like when I look down at my knees.  I guess you might say I'll have a few scars to remember the ordeal!<br /><br />Remember - take care of your knees!  All you weekend warriors - exercise more sense than I did and you might avoid really big boo boos!<br /><br />

Only when I try to stand...the swelling reminds me that it is everywhere...I guess it travels all the way to my foot/ankle...right now it is only down to my mid-shin area...oh and it is starting to bruise into the nice dark purple colors!

Yup! Looks exactly like Hubby's Knee did... right down to the bruising. Of course he was trying to dance to Rasputin at a family wedding when it popped and is in no way a weekend warrior. I am glad to see everything is going well for you Gary! Just make sure to take of it and don't abuse it too badly before Gencon, cause you know a certain bird will have to give you a double extra hug for me!!! Hehehe<br /><br />Lady Myke

Oh great!  Just what we need, yet another person with knee surgery scars.  I don't know what it is about these people, but anytime you get two or more people together who have had knee surgery their surgeries become the main topic of discussion, and the discussions are almost always accompanied by the showing of the scars!  =D<br /><br /><br />On a serious note, glad to hear things are looking better!<br /><br /><br />Take care and have a great day....<br /><br /><br /><br />ciao,<br />john.

Don't worry Hubby stays at home and minds the kids when I go out to play. Of course that won't be until next year so you won't have to worry about them old fogeys talking about their injuries and aches and pains. Teehee<br /><br />Lady Myke

I put my knee surgery off until after gencon. I have to have a total knee replacement and not looking forward to it. Anyways hope you get better in time for gencon.

Imagine my surprise...<br /><br />I mean I could tell the leg brace was keeping some areas compressed - and some areas...well "pooling" for lack of a better word!<br /><br />Anyway the thigh area is the first to go PURP!  I think my calf is next - then maybe the back of the knee...<br /><br />I'm thinking this might be a SWEET artifact token...UBER UR PURP (of course)  Leg of Grimwood...<br /><br />Still working on what powers it should have...tee hee.

Umm, wow!  That had me wondering which end was up.  Is the pic oriented correctly, meaning your calf/lower leg is swolen to the size of your thigh?<br /><br />While it is very common for blood to pool on the surface after surgery, making very vivid bruses, you never quite expect to see what you wind up with.<br /><br />I think I agree with Brian on this pic....
