It's one thing to request that one not be told a joke in person, but to suggest that someone should not post something on a forum because one person dosen't like it seems a bit extreme.<br /><br />*:Because seven ate nine. If the appropriateness of the joke dosen't change from one setting to the other, then why even bother to delineate that it isn't appropriate in mixed company? Wouldn't it have been more accurate to revise your statement to say that you don't find that joke to be appropriate in any company, mixed or not? That certainly seems to be what you're suggesting in your clarification.

People have different levels of what will offend them.  Please respect that.  A simple rule would be if someone says it offends, don't.<br /><br />Enough said.

We are PG-13, right?<br /><br />So the question is:  What is considered PG-13?  <br /><br />From the MPAA's website:<br /><br />"PG-13: A film's single use of one of the harsher sexually derived words, though only as an expletive, shall initially require the Rating Board to issue that film at least a PG-13 rating. More than one such expletive must lead the Rating Board to issue a film an R rating, as must even one of these words used in a sexual context. These films can be rated less severely, however, if by a special vote, the Rating Board feels that a lesser rating would more responsibly reflect the opinion of American parents."<br /><br />Typically, sexual oriented humor like this is reserved for 'R' rated movies.  Although there are exceptions.  "Spanglish" comes to mind.<br /><br />So according to the PG-13 "rating" of these boards, the joke falls in the gray area.  But Henwy's "$hitting" comment probably falls in the 'R' camp.<br /><br />By the way, snorting pepper won't make you sneeze.  I tried it once and it just hurt.   Try it. 

I'm not trying to argue about what people may or may not post on the forum, that's Fritz's job the forum is her turf. <br /><br />But I'm going to be working with him, and I wanted to let him know I would not want such jokes told around me of that nature. And Kim likewise is of a genteel nature. I certainly cannot force him to not tell those kinds of jokes, it is his prerogative. However I would not remain in the company of a person if they were telling such things. Nor would I ever repeat such a joke.<br />I don't know why it seemed to have stirred up so much intrigue, that I asked someone who is to be a coworker to not tell those kinds of jokes around me. <br />I'm not forcing him, nor would I. And as such as it his is right to tell such things if the setting is appropriate, it is my right to leave if I don't want to hear such things. Which I have done in the past and will do in the future.<br /><br />I do apologize if seemed to have caused a disruption. And I know that I am often a minority on the board on a few things. Such as the use of expletives bothers me, but does not others. So I again apologize if I have caused any disturbance.<br />
