Not certain why you cannot do both. Again I think Wandavision, The Mandalorian and Hawkeye all setup the future of the series better than BoBF did in 1 episode. I do think you are right though that SW fans will watch, where people that were not necessarily SW fans watch Mando, and fell in love with Grogu.

In part, it can be attributed to how much better the marvel team is than the Star Wars team. Imagine if ep 7-9 had been done with avengers writing…

considering the first two episode of BoBF are said to be written by Jon Favreau I am only going to blame him not the SW team.

I like the back store they are giving the Tusken raiders. It shows how Boba changed his thoughts about being a bounty hunter to a respectful person.

So, after two episodes I can agree that more should have been done to build a more global story arc. Some of this is getting pretty predictable. Did anyone really think they imprisoned another Rancor? I knew that threat was empty. I knew the mayor was behind it and that the captured assassin would end up dead. No surprises there.

Also, I'm not seeing any tusken raiders in the current storyline. Why do I feel like the back story is just going to end in some tragic death that pushes Boba toward his current situation.

I am predicting the Tuskens come and save Boba and crew toward the end of season (maybe finale) when it looks like all hope is lost. A repayment for the work we have yet to see, when he helps unite the tribes.

I was psyched to see Black Krrsantan - I wonder if this means we might see Dr. Aphra, 000, or BT?

I hope so. I'm guessing she'll get her own show at some point

Good to see another Star Wars comic fan! Seeing Black Kryssantan (sp?) made me immediately open up the comics again. He does have direct ties to Aphra (he saved her life so she could pay off a debt she owes him most recently.) He also has ties with Chewbacca (how he lost an eye.) I would love to see Aphra being introduced in this then spun off for her own series.

000 appearing would be amazing (for the non-comic fans - 000 is an assassin droid in the body of the protocol droid (C3P0 series protocol droid)). I was hoping to see it in the Mandalorian. One of my favorite scenes in any comic was the conversation between 000 and Darth Vader where Vader was shocked by what 000 planned to do to their enemies as being too evil and too extreme. This is Vader in his prime when he was the most feared being in the galaxy calling out this droid for being too evil for the Empire.

Loving it. Seeing his building of the army is very Dune-Esque. The training of the tribe and teaching new tactics is all very familiar and explains that he actually has tons of power that perhaps the Daimyo could hold due to the army of the sands

I've liked the "present" so far. The "Last of the Tusken Raiders" isn't really doing it for me.
What a sad lot in life to be a litter bearer for a pair of hutts.

I was wondering if he needs the bacta tank because as a clone, even an unmodified one, his body is starting to fail. It would explain why he looks 20 years older than he should, though I don't imagine being staked out under the twin suns helped. It might also explain why the Kaminoans couldn't use Boba's DNA to continue the cloning process.

Other clones are running around near this time and don’t need a bacta that we have seen. They also had the accelerated aging, so I think it has more to do with his time in the sarlaac and the Tatoo I and Tattoo II.

Was it just me or was that speeder chase the most boring speeder chase ever in SW?
