If there is ever a Machine Man movie, that will shoot to the top of my Sentimental Favorite list!

It's pretty amazing how high the quality level has been throughout the series. I thought Iron Man 2 was a bit of a letdown, and Incredible Hulk was a bit uneven, but other than that I'd give every movie an A or A+.

So many of these movies are so awesome. It's definitely difficult to rate them. I think my top 5 would be
1. Captain America: Winter Soldier
2. Captain America: Civil War
3. Avengers: Endgame
4. The Avengers
5. Captain America: First Avenger

Can you tell who my favorite character is?

The most impactful Marvel movies, IMHO:

1. Iron Man (kicking the whole thing off)
2. Black Panther (first to win an Oscar)
3. Guardians of the Galaxy (introducing space/incorporating humor)
4. Avengers Endgame
5. Dr. Strange (introducing magic)

I liked Thor 2, although I'd rate it in the bottom half. I thought Dr. Strange was great.

I have to say, I love what Iron man 1 did for the genre, and the Jumpstart of the MCU, but when you go back, it isn't that great, compared to some.of the others.

Winter Soldier is a great one. Civil War is another.
Thor: Ragnarok, Guardians 1 also.

I dont know what I would put 5th. Maybe infinity war.

You pretty much nailed my top 5.

iron man 3 would have been great if the end credits had Trevor Slattery really being the mandarin(it was all a show to keep everyone off his back). I keep holding out that Sir ben Kingsley Does something where he is the mandarin.

To each their own, but Thor 2, CA:WS, GotG 2 and IM2 are in my bottom 5. (It's not all #2s, SM2 and AM2 are top half for me.)

I agree with your last 3, but I'd fill in with some combination of GotG 1, Dr Strange and Ant-man 1.

Can we all agree though that Thor 1 is a rom-com? ;)

Am I the only that found Captain America: First Avenger to be boring? Granted I only have watched it the once when it came out in the theater, but I remember a middle part of the movie filled with a Capt'n going through the war montage.

I wouldn't say "boring", but yeah, on the whole it was a little slow for my taste.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?

Fair, boring is probably too strong. It was boring for a superhero action movie, but not as a movie in general (except that middle part)...lol.

To me First Avenger feels more like a run of the mill action movie, but most of Johnston's movies are like that.
Winter Soldier played out more like a spy movie. Civil War is the only one I think felt like an actual superhero movie.

I think that's what I like so much about it--that it feels different from the rest of the movies in the MCU. In general, I think that's what makes some of my favorites, my favorites.

Winter Soldier: "Hey, this feels like a spy movie... with superheroes!"
Guardians: "Hey, this is a space epic... with superheroes!"
Thor: Ragnarok: "Hey, this is a comedy... with superheroes!"
