Sometimes you need to treat adults like 3-year olds and just let them do their thing and ignore them. When they're not getting the reaction they want and crave, they may move along to something else.

Thanks!

Lori

Lori, thanks, that's great advice in general, not just for forum discussions. :)

This guy got banned once. Now he's up to the same bull. I say just ban him forever OR actually do an IP address comparison of everyone here and find out who he really is.

That's definitely what I was referring to.

Soul searching coming.

This is incredibly insightful.

We should definitely take an opportunity to assess our previous practices and determine if they should or should not resume.

Handshakes maybe should be a thing of the past, as an example.

Fist-bumps are cooler anyway!

They so are not. You might as well high five someone that's how outdated they are now. And not because of COVID-19.

I've always been a fan of the forearm bump. A little pain involved which just shows your manliness.

But I do like the idea of the Vulcan thing or just a: "May the Force be with you."

You're trying to tell me that high fives are outdated but Star Trek isn't... Riiight.

Star Trek currently has two series in production. Star Trek Online is a thing. People still play Star Fleet Battles.

Yes, it’s still a thing.

We had a blast playing Star Fleet Battles probably 30 years ago, I'm sure I've still got the game. I didn't realize it was still being played.

Star Trek has some great series on CBSAllAccess right now. Picard was really good, as is Discovery (I'm nearly done with Season 2). I'm hoping that they can continue the Theatrical movies as well, but that seems to be going nowhere right now. Although I think one of the best "Star Trek" shows currently is Orville. :)

I used to play Star Trek Online but it died off then I guess it came back!

As for SFB - it is still a thing! You can play online now!

There are two mobile games for Star Trek:

The problem with the forearm bump is that for two decades we have been taught to cough and sneeze into our elbows. Thats one nasty elbow.

The Vulcan greeting is great, but hey! This is True Dungeon!
Should it not be the Elvish greeting "Mae govannen"?

So, everything is post poned or cancelled and everyone is out of work... I told you so. Don't say you were not warned. Only fools attack the messenger and disregards the message.

So, I'm sad about ComicCon, but far, far more upset about the Gathering of the Juggalos!

Arthur,

On behalf of the entire gaming community...heck, world for that matter, please accept our warm thanks and deep gratitude for your wise words of caution. Words can never fully express our feelings of gratitude, so nobody will even try. As much as it pains each of us to have the inability to find the words, just know that our thoughts are with you.

Best of luck and health to you, King Arthur.

When Insane Clown Posse is the voice of reason, you know things are seriously off kilter.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir
