The end result was Finn waking up in a bacta tank in the next movie and leaving Kylo with a moderate scar. It would have been a great chance to make Kylo need a mask like his grandfather's, but no one suffered any real lasting damage.

Calling it now, he's going to be a good guy before the end of the next movie.

And Finn will be the new master bad guy.

I blame JJ for this, having watched Lost and hearing his opinions on storytelling, he is happy to give mysteries/questions without any planned answers...and, in fact, never provide answers at all. This is what worries me about ep 9, that instead of going back and answering the questions he will ignore them and just give us more mysteries.

Currently, force awakens is my least favorite star wars, by far. And that is because of JJ's storytelling (and a lack of R2D2). He does have a chance to save it, but im not too hopeful.

It would have helped if Rian had read TFA before writing TLJ which he did not. So I blame Rian. He could solved, answered or dealt with JJ’s unanswered questions/mysteries. Instead he just threw them away. That is terrible story telling, not building on what came before. JJ brought in Lucas to help end the saga. Lucas isn’t the greatest with dialogue but the man can tell a story. All answers may not be presented but I do feel we will wrap up not just this trilogy but our 9 movie epic saga.

The first half of RotJ is my favorite Star Wars movie. The second half not so much.

Does anyone have an opinion of The Mandalorian?

The first 40 seconds of this (the rest of it is pretty good too)

D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

I love the SW adventures. movies or books (I like paper), they provide an escape and entertain me for a time.

to argue the pros and cons is fun, but as long as they keep me distracted for the time frame allotted, I'm good. I do like some movies over the others. I tend to like to see the bad guy win.

that being said. the movie I would love to see is "Rise of Vader". I remember when 2 jedi, just 2, were sent to negotiate with the trade federation. 2 jedi had them scared to death along with all their ships and droid soldiers.
the jedi reputation was that formidable. then along comes this "thing" that wants to hunt down the jedi and kill them. well the sooner they drop him off and the jedi kill him, the sooner they can get back to the important stuff of being imperial sailors. can anyone say oops.

that COULD make an awesome movie.
