For those of you who remember the Mummy hanging in the middle of the room in the Puzzle room with the Spider over looking the room. We completed the puzzle quickly and with time to kill one of our players asked if we could revive the mummy. The quick thinking DM said sure. So we fed the mummy a Potion of Death's Door and found that the corpse was Lotus Blossom, a poor adventuring Monk who had wandered in the dungeon on a quest nearly 400 years ago. Lotus was waylaid by spiders and cocooned in the state we had found him in. I healed him with scrolls and the DM ran off and came back with a 4th level player card and Lotus Blossom continued with us through the rest of the dungeon and eventually to safety. Take a look at the the "Thank You" post above that Lotus Blossom set us. Lotus even went on to open an account and still reads the TD Forums to this day

This is a very true story, honorable Bard. As my brave friends have told my best story is of the bravery of the True Adventurers. My Masters the Honorable Lordon and Mongo have said only 25 more years of payments and my debt will be erased. As a wise bard perhaps you can explain the phrase "escaped from the holo deck" to me?

Could someone tell me what a "Web site URL" is. Is it a special form of scroll?

I am pretty sure that is a star trek the next generation phrase. A holo deck is a simulation system, it creates a virtual reality. One episode they get trapped in the simulation and have to work their way out. So it's to escape something you believe is real to return to reality. Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong >.>

Lotus Blossom is staying in character, lol. They would have not heard that reference outside of the dungeon life :)

I would tell Lotus that it is a illusion spell inclosed in within a room created with walls of force, bound within a summoning circle and the illusion character is trying to find a way to leave the boundaries of the illusion spell and become a real person

Then am I real and the spider was a dream or am I an illusion thinking I am real due to magic? I need Master Lordon's Bourbon again :woohoo:

I was present for Lotus Blossom's awakening; it was during one of our Team Synergy runs. It was one of the most memorable events of the year! :)

Team Synergy is a loosely organized group of players that coordinate runs. Fizziks was the original organizer, Sage stepped into that role last year. We aim to run at Nightmare level. The name comes from our preference to run with all players equipping Charms of Synergy.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir
