"Perhaps... Ismark, does the village have a place where we can safely lock these two up? If so, we can patch them up with potions and our own healing."

"I suspect the church will best serve our needs," Ismark replies hosting one of the gypsies over his shoulder, "collect his fellow and I will lead the way."

With that Ismark leads your group through empty streets of Barovia until your group rounds a corner and spots the weathered silhouette of the of the town church against the mists.

The worn and weary church yard to say nothing of the building is a shambles though still remarkably intact after withstanding the assaults of evil so long. The bell tower hangs to one side, its sweet tone long silenced and deep claw marks scare the heavy wooden doors but still a faint flickering light shines through holes.

Ismark walks quickly through the desecrated church yard and pounds on the door calling loudly for brother Donavich. A few moments later the door cracks open and a gaunt looking man in his late forties tightly clutching appears in the darkness. Catching sight of the unconscious gypsies he whisperers hoarsely for you all to come inside.

"Well, that was fun. Its nice to flex my muscles once in a while. You will probably put them to the question now?"

"Cram, they've already seen what you can do. Perhaps you can persuade them to share some information with us?"

After making sure that the gypsies are secured tightly with rope from my bag, I revive them (using potions and/or water as necessary).

As this is happening, Breon says, "Intimidation is one thing, but I will not allow these men to be tortured - I'm sure Pelor's servants feel the same."

"I would not know what to ask. Have the wizards do it."

Cram checks his pouch to make sure everything is still in place.

"But, if you need me to help with the persuasion, I would be glad to help."

'If what Friend Widseth said is true, I should not allow him to leave the village,' I think. Then, with a sigh of defeat, I shake my right hand. The Dagger of Returning stored in my bracer falls into my waiting grasp. I flick my wrist, letting the blade fly

Your aim is true and the blade strikes the man unaware squarely in the back causing him to fall to the ground with a tortured scream. Moments later you detect signs of moment when the enchanted blade vanishes from the man's wound appearing back in your hand as the gypsy begins cursing and feebly pulling himself along the ground in an effort to escape his unseen attacker. It would be easy enough to finish him at this point or if you wished or you could take him back to the others as a prisoner.

After doing a moderately thorough check for weapons, I haul him up and lead/push him back towards where I last saw the others.

I stride up to the beaten and battered gypsies, cross my arms and glare down at them. "All right boys if you want to avoid further pains I suggest you give me two things: first, an apology for your rudeness in the tavern, and second, some information about what is going on in this town."

I lift my right hand and summon up some electric energy as if I were preparing to release a Ray of Shock on one of them. The bright blue energy dances about on my palm and sends arcs up my forearm making crackling sounds and casting erratic shadows on my face. Everyone in the room can feel the hairs on their arms and necks rise. "I suggest you grant me these two very simple requests," I warn the gypsies.
