TOPIC: Meet at the Inn

Re: Meet at the Inn 11 years 3 months ago #133

OOC - large crates of gold and platinum coins fall upon Barkley and bury him up to his neck. Looks like it might take him a few days to dig his way out...

Which is to say, I'll try to keep up but feel free to put me on auto-pilot if you have to so that I don't drag the rest of you down.

I've lost track of what time of day it is. But I sure hope those guys follow us out. I'd hate for them to report back too soon.

(OOC what about sneak attacks, flanking bonuses, or the like?)

Your group is barely across the street when you notice movement in the tavern behind you. A moment later your "friends" from inside emerge. Noticing your group has spotted them one of the gypsies tips his hat to you with a wicked grin and starts to walk off towards the alley beside the tavern. The remaining two maintain a discrete distance but make it clear they are keeping an eye on your group.

I say in a low voice to Lexan, "Can you see what the one slipping away is up to without the others, or the one slipping away, seeing you?"

"I can't say for certain, but I am happy to try," I answer quietly, "But a diversion would not go amiss."

I drift naturally towards the fringes of the group, but try to keep the larger individuals between myself and the gypsies.

Cram walks up to the 2 separated gypsies. "I am itching for a fight in this evil place. Do you prefer fists or steel? I don't know if I want to kill you yet, so which you would like?"

Cram cracks his knuckles, and leans his hand on his sword.

Apparently surprised by Crams direct approach the two gypsies are speechless for a moment but quickly recover. First glancing towards their friend who has just disappeared down the mouth of an alley then back to each other with a nod and a shrug.

"Well then if it's a beatin ya want I recon we could oblige" the first gypsy says as his friend throws a wild haymaker towards Cram's jaw (roll 17+1str dmg 2+1str) catching him momentarily off guard. Seizing the opportunity the first gypsy follows up shot to the gut (roll 8 dmg 3) with little noticeable effect.

OOC - for simplicity let's say unarmed attacks do 1d3 + str bonus.

'That works,' I think to myself. Taking advantage of the fight, I slip into the shadows and follow the escaping gypsy.

Cram smiles at the one who landed a blow.

"You punch good for wearing pretty clothes." With that he punches the guy back. (Rolls a 4 + 8str =12 to hit. dam 2 + 12 = 14)

I lean back against a wall, cross my arms and watch the fight.

I draw my swords and wait to see if Cram needs assistance.

Breon sighs and mutters, "Barbarians." He watches the fight, preparing to cast BULL'S STRENGTH on Cram if need be.
