I have now lost more than 70 pounds! Hard to believe! I hope I never have to go through that again!

Ran 10 miles today - was supposed to do it tmr with the Team, but we are flying to NYC at noon-ish. Of course, that depends on the hellsnow blanketing the east right now. Anyhoo, I haven't run 10 miles since high school. I was slow, but I made it without stopping. Whew!
Thanks! Today I got to run in Central Park in NYC. We are back east for Xmas vacation. I ran about 6.5 miles - not the only fool runner out there, but the only fool runner out there in shorts!

So I am no longer in NYC - On Weds we took a train home to Western Mass (delayed by 3 hours) for Xmas activities. On Xmas we went to NH to have dinner festivities with my sister and BIL, and then today we drove to Maine for more vacation fun. The good news is I ran 4 miles with my sister this morning, and am planning on doing 6 tmr morning. The bad news is that while in NYC, I spent Tuesday walking around in boots that were just a touch too small, and stubbed my toe badly twice. The nail on my big toe is essentially dead, and is hanging on only through sheer will power. Not a pretty sight!

bumpity bump bump

I ran yesterday when we got back to MA from ME. I had bought some running pants in ME and Jen gave me a tech jacket and tech hat. Thank goddess, because IT WAS 6 FREAKIN' DEGREES when I ran yesterday morning! Holy cow! I did betwen 5 and six miles, and I am sore because of the circuit training I did on Tuesday. Probably will do pushups and ab workout today.

Thanks so much to those of you who have donated! If you were thinking of donating, remember today is the last day you can claim the donation as a tax deduction on your 2009 taxes. You can still donate after today to get a chance to win an UR token donated by Jeff M, and you will still get a 2010 Tokenholics Anonymous t-shirt from Jeff (Smakdown) if you donate at least $25!

Celebrate safely tonight! Happy new year to all!

Brian
Went for a slow 4 mile run today - didn't want to push too hard, since I am just getting over a stomach virus of some kind. Head back to LA tmr, and a 10 mile run with the Team on Sunday - looking forward to running without arctic gear again!
Back in LA today, and ran 10 miles with the Team. Felt awful for several reasons - getting over being sick, went to bed at 2:30 am after flying across nation after hours of weather delays, did not eat enough. Bad on me!

What the heck is going on? I hope you are ok. Have you had a history of back/leg pain? Are you over-training???

Whatever the issue, hang in there. Hope you feel better,

WJ
Thanks, WhiskeyJack! Not overtraining - I have been very good about following the program and haven't increased distance too much. I think it might be all the travel and driving over our holiday vacation - between planes, trains, and automobiles, I was seated for hours at a time for days in a row. It hurts even now when I am driving around here at home. We'll see what my wife's chiropractor says.

Certainly hope the situation improves. and I hope the chiropractor says something more usefull, than, here, now come back in a week or it'll be hurting again.
