So today we continued building up our runs - only our second day, so we ran 40 minutes, doing 5:1 minute run:walk intervals. My group went out fastest and farthest - hope I can keep it up!

Brian

Helene,
Why are you going to be in a hotel for a month?

Kim

Becoz I felt like it? ... no - not really ... I have a job which requires a lot of travel ... so I'm usually at a client somewhere ... or else I'm in Chicago visiting WJ ... or else doing laundry at home in West Palm Beach ... <sigh> ... I guess you could say that I live a long-distance LIFE right now ... I was really good last week tho - managed to work out everyday ... we'll see if I can keep it up this week ... I probably need to considering I'll be in Chicago this weekend ... WJ and I tend to go a little overboard with the food and booze ...

45 minutes easy run today, but it was in the dark along San Vicente, so there were tree roots trying to kill us! Maybe they were from the huorns?

brian,

you need to get one of those hats that holds a snack out in front of the wearer. but instead of a snack, you could hang a 2010 purple.

now that would improve your time.

So tonight was strength training - I ran 30 minutes on the treadmill, and then our coach/trainer tried to kill us. Thank goddess I've been working out some, because otherwise I'd still be quivering on the floor of the gym. This is the guidance and training I needed!

Maybe a rest day tmr, and then Sat a.m. I run 7 miles again (maybe 7.5), and then weigh in at WW.
We did a 50 minute run this morning with Team In Training. Was actually about 45 minutes, with stops for traffic lights and water. Ran about 4.7 miles - we definitely pushed the pace a bit, and it felt good. There was also a fundraising clinic to help us raise money to fight leukemia/lymphoma for the Leukemia and Ly...mphoma Society - an honored teammate spoke to us before our run about her battle against cancer. The L&LS helped make the clinical trials that helped her possible, and she has done marathons and other events with Team in Training - very inspirational!
