An item that takes a very valuable ring slot doing only 6 points of damage once per game??? You couldn't pay me to equip it. Even at 6 points per room/combat its ridiculously under powered for a ring slot blue token. At 6 points per attack roll hit (or better yet, automatic hit like some spells) it might be worth it for a low armour class wizard or bard,,, but for any straight up melee fighter type or ranged/missile weapon users the ring is useless.

I actually passed over this and think Mongo is right. For some reason I thought that ring was either 1/room or at-will, as a way for possibly melee characters to deal with ranged-only enemies or for people to deal with incorporeal enemies or such. As is this does seem fairly underpowered.

+2, my original suggestion for this was a 1/room effect, and that was only at rare level.
I play Rogue. Occasionally I even play Rogue well.

Going to jump in here on Ring of the Dire Ram being very underpowered for a transmute. At 6 damage as a standard action 1/game it's actively worse than the Figurine of Power Squirrel/Horror. I get that those are special tokens, but compared to other 4* rings like +6 saves, this doesn't seem to carry the same utility.

Crown of the Tavern - Are there a lot of "bad effects" of healing consumables currently in the game? I can't think of very many off the top of my head. Is this meant to stop the 1/room restriction of Volva's potions?
What is a "bad effect" (does it count restrictions and limitations, or only negative effects for the player)?
Can you take the bad effect if you want to - it appears no?

I like the idea thematically, it just seems a bit unspecific as written.

I actually agree with all of y’all on this point, but when I look at those blue tokens each year, what pops in my mind are easier / lower transmuting for other players. That ring will never make it to my build, the crown is use if slot-less, otherwise no, the pet, I’ll make as I’m collecting them, the Eldritch I’ll deff go hard on since I have wanted reprints of these forever! The rest have no interest, the archers buckler is nice, but I have one already but it’s a nice functional reprint. I look at those as tokens useful to other players but at the level my few builds are, they won’t make it.

As a 1/game effect what would people think about letting it benefit from focus. Otherwise I agree that 1/room would bring it more inline with a druid throwing orbs out of a ring of quick blessings.

I think adding focus would be confusing (too different from similar items), but I do like the idea of changing it to 1/room.

Even 1/room isn’t that great. It needs a standard action. I can’t think of many situations where I would use this vs a normal SA

Ring of the Dire Ram: this presumably is an upgrade for the proposed Rare Ring of the Stag, which deals 4 Force damage (1/room). This should also be at least (1/room).

Fair point. I think the question is when is it better than a mystic staff? It almost seems like if it had no limited use restriction and remained a SA it would be okay. Basically similar to using a scroll... small damage that always hits.

Maybe it could be 4 damage, but you can use it when ever you want as a SA. Not great, but something unique for newer melee characters who don't have any ranged +hit.

Bead Necklaces: I guess the writing is on the wall, but these really seems too powerful. I foresee this creating problems with designing Beads in the future, when there are already a lot of powerful Beads.

Ioun Stone Sapphire Trilliant: Liked the last draft better.

Ioun Stone Sunstone Trilliant: Still feels like too much. Four damage types would be more than enough, in combination with it being tied for the highest + Saves IS.

Eldritch Runestone: Looking forward to this one.

Bead of Asgard: +3 to a Stat would be good for this, especially considering that it looks like we're getting a Bead Expander.

Bifrost Charm: +3 Damage would be good for this, especially considering it's untyped damage.

Spirit Pet Bliss Squirrel: Yay, this one is still here! I keep worrying Grunnel will get this one thrown out of the Dungeon.

Could we just reprint the topaz trilliant, then expand it to include sacred and maybe one other type that doesn't overlap?

I don’t love people being able to get to -20 fire, cold, and shock and -10 sonic, darkrift, and sacred with just 2 tokens

Reprinting topaz trilliant may be the better idea here.

As per the token faq you can only equip one Ioun Stone with “trilliant” in its name.
