Goggles of the Supreme Insult

These UR goggles allow dwarf fighters to understand how to make their taunts as biting as possible and draw the undivided attention of their target. The Dwarf’s taunts gain the additional effect:
“Area effect attacks that include the dwarf during a taunt round are focused on just the dwarf. The dwarf also gains DR 20 to such area effect taunted attacks.”

The damage from the attack is the area of effect damage times the number of party members. Because the character knows the attack is coming, they gain an additional DR 20 to the attack and can attempt saving throws as normal. Shadowskin or similar effects to avoid all damage cannot be used to resist this attack nor can a paladin intervene with sacrifice.

Cutting edge goggles (dw fighter)
Once per dungeon, the dwarf’s insults leave the victim vulnerable to the next attack by the dwarf. The next attack by the dwarf, if it hits, is a critical hit.

Alternatively, this could let the dwarf choose someone else to earn a crit on their next attack following the taunt.

I think I like the second idea a bit better since it creates more fun for the party as a whole.

I wouldn't think Retribution would count as using an ability, but if it does then I'd be happy for this token to work with it, since it's an slotted UR with a very situational ability and there are plenty of UR charms which give unconditional +2 damage so ignoring DR in very specific circumstances doesn't seem too bad.

As someone who frequently stacks retribution I can tell you it would be situationally useful to convert that damage to eldritch, but more importantly it would save the hassle of trying to keep track of the elemental effects on another damage source! Most retribution isn’t elemental anyway.

Sorry yes, by situational I meant that it only works on retribution, which probably won't trigger on every single round of combat and obviously has a cost of your character taking damage, and won't be very useful if the enemy doesn't have much/any DR, so it doesn't seem like it'd an issue if retribution builds get to gain more damage from it than a normal damage boosting token which triggers on every attack against every enemy.
I play Rogue. Occasionally I even play Rogue well.

The only problem is that beads are better than charms or iouns. For example, available attribute charms give +2 to an attribute. 3 beads give 6 total attributes.

I think they are hard to compare, some of the charm abilities like Spell Storing are on par with beads, if not better. And some beads like Bead of Bounty are on par with ion stones. I think there is room to adjust the ratio of charms to beads and agree 1:1, might not be exactly right.

To me the more important thing is that bead expanders should conflict with the existing slot expanders so we have interesting choices to make when selecting which type of extra slots we want.

I'm with Orion on this.

If we're going to see a UR level Bead expander, I'd love to see it as an earcuff. You've got 2 ears, you can still make choices about which earcuff you'd drop to equip it (the Ioun Expander, or the Charm expander.) Plus, it gives some design space to start making Iouns a little more powerful again (or giving them some more unique abilities which aren't duplicated on Charms and Beads.)
