Allows transformation into a Great Wolf.
Decent Damage wheel (5 point wheel 8, 10, 12, 12, 16.)
On a nat 20, if the wheel is on 16, the foe's head is torn off. For druids, any nat 20 has this effect.

This would also be classed as a Druid only item. Jeff mentioned that during class card revamp that the “ Trinkets “ would be Druid only and unlike the poly potions, never have to be turned in. It was stated that more separation of certain items / skills to make each class more unique and allow them to expand and make shine the classes / subclasses, the way they want to. So if this was made into a token, it would be Druid only, any nat 20 is an insta kill unless immune. But that kinda cuts into Ava’s “ outsider “ kill which only works on specific creatures.

Insta kill on a UR is usually restricted to a single number and single target type (ex, giant). Beyond that, I’d recommend against giving the jack of all trades class an insta kill in general.

While technically correct that it would be a Druid only token, by the established ruling for trinket poly tokens, Rangers equipping Ralson’s would also be able to use the Trinket as an Animal Friend attack.

Ah, it would need to be nat 20 and target number insta-kill. If specific down to creature, Giants would be a thematic fit.

Balance issues aside, instant kill effects are, I think, not very fun in general.

They are fun for the person who scores the kill, and possibly fun for a group who knows that is what is happening and trying to nudge the token onto the 20 or use it in conjunction with Divine Intervention, etc.. I know there is an epic story with Smoak, a Longspear of Dragonslaying, and a celeb guest.

But in general, and having one player one shot the monster is not fun much of the time - there is too much potential that it leaves the party standing around in a room for 10 minutes, or makes an end fight where people have saved up resources the entire run to master is anticlimactic.

What if instead of insta-kill abilities, give +100 damage.

Fenrir is a legendary creature, so it would be appropriate for the token to have a special ability.

Destroying constructs on a 20 was already included in on a rare polymorph token.

So what Fred proposed at the UR level for a Trinket of Fenrir is probably okay, but so would be another ability that captures that uniquely vicious nature of Fenrir in Viking mythology.

Trinkets have largely obsoleted a lot of what made the Druid class legendary special, so I would like to see the class get some love this year.

Cursed Charm
Whenever you use a non-attack ability which deals damage, change the type of all of that damage to Eldritch.

This would let people have some fun builds with FoPs: Reaver, Horror, and Stalker Squirrel, and Psyferre's Spectacles without worrying about DR, at the cost of a Charm slot.
