Looking at the discussion on +2 Assassin Crossbow, I wonder if we could explore some build diversity in the UR space.
What about an UR (Charm?) which gives +5 Sneak Attack Damage on a successful Sneak Attack
This would be appealing to Newer Rogues who want their Sneak Attack to pack more punch, and very appealing to Rogues who go the Nightshade route, as it could double on a Crit. Slightly less appealing to the Assassin Crowsbow crowd, as that SA damage doesn't double or triple on a crit.
Possible downside: It might be a pain for DMs, as there's no place to record extra Sneak Attack damage.
Another possibility:
A Charm(?) which allows Sneak Attacks to Crit on 19-20. (Unlike the necklace, no second Sneak Attack option, no "avoids 1 round delay to set up sneak attack")
Not much interest there for the Relic- or Legendary-Necklace users, but GREAT for newer Rogues.
DMs already have to double-check with Rogues about their Sneak Attack crit range (due to the necklaces) so this wouldn't add any overhead.
Personally, as a Relic-Necklace user, I'd *love* to see something which opened the Sneak Attack Crit range to 18-20, but I feel that power level might be out of the UR range, and I don't see any interest in a transmute progression while the Rogue Necklaces exist.
Possibly a Bead option, which gave a 18-20 Crit range, but ONLY FOR MELEE SNEAK ATTACKS, that way it doesn't step on the toes of the Necklaces, and doesn't synergize with the Assassin's Crossbow.
