Feedback:
Personally I don't prefer to buy special tokens on the secondary market, event trade goods. I'd rather build them through play, collecting treasure, and trades. Raising the TG costs in recipes (ie dropping the purchase power of treasure) directly devalues the investment in previous runs to collect treasure to make stuff with. If it's done too much, I would naturally ask myself why bother with extra tickets as I will see less value in the treasure, and treasure enhances, while also watching ticket prices raise. Again the value to me is not monetary, it's In getting tokens to improve my build. (I'm not saying the current recipes are off, but I wanted to share another point of view )

It would be cool if costs were based on average number of treasure pulls required to collect/trade for the components needed for the recipe. And that recipes and treasure mixes were balanced biased on those.

What I think TD is doing correctly to help with supply issues is creating more transmutes options that people want to build. I think they should add even more transmute tokens that everyone wants to make. The problems is not that people are playing too much so there too much TGs floating arounds, it's that there are not enough enticing transmutes at all levels to match that increase in play. So keep it up. Make me spend those trade good for more stuff, not save up to spend TGs for less stuff. Short incremental reward cycles.

In my opinion, At the end of the day TD is a game, and then a token economy. Jeff and Co, please continue to do what you think adds long term fun and happiness to players. And as always thank you for all the hard work that everyone at TD puts in to make such an amazing game that we love.

Stuff like story relics are my emotional hey i'm rewarded for all the times i've played and saved/collected/traded tokens vs just going out and spending on trade goods and big token orders. So seeing stuff get priced out long past what recipes have historically been hurts some far as hey do i bother or not.

+1 to this

I tend to fall into the same boat. I spend a ton of money each year on PYPs and whatever Trade Item tokens I need, but it's been a looooong time since I did any significant token purchases from TD. The only transmutes I usually do are a lot of the storyline and multi-year transmutes (enough for my group of 10 plus some extras), because historically they require no (storyline) or few (multi-year) trade item tokens. If they start requiring a stack of trade item tokens also, I'm pretty sure I'll shift away from transmuting entirely.

I'd just note there is often a big disconnect between auction prices for trade goods, and trade good prices per-se.

There generally aren't a bunch of people lining up on auction threads saying "hey - if anyone has any more darkwood plank at $1.15 I'll take 18 of them" once an auction is completed.

Auctions match supply to motivated buyers, who are buying a specific quantity, right now. if you just looked up the latest auction stats and then came out saying:

"I've got 100x each of DP and MS which I'm offering at 10% cheaper than the latest auction prices!"

I wouldn't expect you to get cleaned out right away.

+1 to this. In my opinion many of the UR's from 2020 were desirable and are commanding significantly higher prices now than in 2020. The slot expanders and the Arcane items were quite popular.
