Please have a look at the 2024 Transmuted Recipe Proposals v04. Your constructive feedback is welcome.

Please bear in mind:
  • As you can see by the watermark, this is a beta. That said, this is very likely to be what we run with.
  • In case you were wondering why the Safehold V (Under Construction) and Safehold V recipes aren't included, they've already been published and are not up for discussion.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

I think these look great! I look forward to transmute season and appreciate the chances to comment on previous revisions.

I take it that Chalice being slotless is the reason it is much more expensive than like tokens of yesteryear?

Goal with the gloves transmute path is to make much easier transmutes for one of the two legendary paths than the other path?

Thank you again for letting us give feedback on these recipe designs!

Thank you for listening to the fleece feedback and making changes. I like the idea you have implemented with two tiers of relic costs and honestly I think this makes a lot of sense. Weapons are very powerful tokens and they should be more costly. I think this also gives things for multiple types of players. Both Gregor's and Kilgor's look good under this idea in my opinion.

I personally think the transmute cost of 4c's is a little high to be an on-boarding ramp but if this is not what they are meant to be, then so be it.

Also, I understand why there is a cost to completion relics in trade goods to avoid a glut of them, but I personally don't think that is a bad thing. They are a cool reward for players who played all year, and I think they should be accessible to them for that reason as the FoP Reaver was. Plus, we already have to give up very nice completion tokens to make them, which I know is not a big deal for some players but it is for me, so that definitely colors my opinion on this matter.

Charm of Divine Gifts is becoming more reasonable for a TE, I think Aragonite should be dropped from its costs cause a player who needs it will not have the pulls to make one themselves within the two years the recipe will be live. (It takes 19 runs at 4 treasure pulls to make 1 AG)

Lenses of Sage Sight: If your goal is to soak up the most common TGs, then you may want to make this 10x Darkwood Plank and not 10x Alchemist Parchment. I understand the thematic choice for AP but this adds a much higher draw on Mystic Silk, (being used in Inferno Bracers) making most common TG sinks uneven

Overall, I think this is a big step in the right direction. If TPTB think we need a higher TG sink and want to make one legendary path for that purpose I'll take that compromise. It seems to be the best of both worlds to me. I still wish for completion relics to be more accessible, it may not be the vision but that is my last wish of the recipe changes.

Orb of Annihilation is too expensive IMO. Having to have that many specific completion tokens AND basically 2 of every trade good and a Fleece is too much when you compare it to previous recipes like FoP:Reaver.

While we're on the topic, will Earcuff of Greater Glory have a large number of trade goods attached in addition to 1 of each monster bit for 4 years? If so I'll go ahead and purge my MBs now rather than stock up for the next 4 years to be hit with this same thing. If I knew there would be such a big chunk of trade goods I surely wouldn't have done as many runs this year.

Is there a way to make Kilgor's +4 Savage Sword Option 2 a more condensed transmute path. It feels bad seeing a large number of trade goods to go from old legendary to new legendary. I think a more streamlined path would increase the likelihood of this transmute option being used.

Welfor's & +2 Savage Sword & Wish Ring or 15k gold
Welfor's & +3 Savage Sword
Welfor's & Omni Cube

In cost option 1 would be the cheapest so an additional UR would make sense or just adding AG to balance the cost difference between options.

Orb is Relic and is Slotless. Reaver is UR and takes a slot.

Re Orb of Annihilation; seeing as the Goggles of Anticipation is from a Grunnel limited event, and can be a substitute, can the astrix be on the other tokens, and the goggles be listed in the astrix clarification please? Only needing 7 completion tokens, and not 8, is unclear in the current description.

Thank you TD for the information and listening to feedback.

I'm pleased by theses updates. Especially the updates to the Omni's. Reading the v2 recipes I was previously concerned about the inflation of TG requirements, concerned that access to legionaries was a sliding target. These updates are reassuring.

The overall good. I love that there is a way to use old URs. I think their value will go up if it hasn't already with the posting of these recipes. I have a couple I don't know what to do with, and this gives a path for me to use them, or make something that someone is willing to trade for.

I could also see a 2nd option for the Omni recipes that except 1 or 2 more UR's with less trade goods.

And we all know they are just going to boost the HP of Monsters by 50 to compensate for this. You're really just going to be paying trade goods to keep similar difficulty levels. Come on you know better.

Thank you as always for giving us a chance to review and comment on the recipes! Very much liking the direction taken in this version.

For reference, my ideal recipes feel like a challenge, but an achievable challenge. Sticker shock on a recipe feels discouraging rather than inspirational.

With that said, some specific comments:
I like that the relic costs decreased a bit, especially the Greater Gloves of the Gladiator. One opportunity is that the Dwarven Steel and Minotaur Hide both seem a bit high still given that treasure pulls don't provide Common tokens. Would it be possible to decrease those a bit (to 5 of each?) and increase the the Elven Bismuth and Oil of Enchantment costs to compensate? That would align the recipes a bit more with treasure pulls.

I'm a little surprised by the increase in GP cost for Chalice of Chugging. Compared to Canteen of Quaffing - similar slotless effect for healing potions - it's 5x the cost. I understand the desire to increase costs, but 500GP seems a better target for this transmute. That also happens to be 1 Rare GP token :)

Bracers of the Inferno: These seem like a relative of the Belt of Ogre Mage Power: straight increase to a Rare-level build standard. If the goal is to have a 50% increase in costs, they seem spot on, but 3 Steel and 3 Hide creates a bit of sticker shock. I think reducing those to 2 each would retain a bit of increase. Maybe adding 1 Elven Bismuth would help compensate a bit.

Charm of Divine Gifts: The reduction in cost of dropping the Fleece requirement and only 3 unique completions is very welcome. The only remaining challenge is that, for that level of player, Aragonite is a steep ask - 25 of their best tokens. The reward is wonderful, certainly, so maybe it's inspirational enough for someone to seek out the secondary market.

Thanks again for the chance to comment!
