+1 to all of Haywards idea list, I think any of those would be super cool to get as a follower. I just shortened them to not quote miles of text

I agree with Rob. Please no more slot expanders. There are so many other cool things we can do without making token binders heavier.

How bout we do slot REDUCERS? Get a big buff on a token, but lose additional slots. People will love that.

However, it is possible we will add, or change tokens to these various groups in the years ahead.
This gives you some added flexibility, if you find one especially under or over-powered. It would only stop new ones being made, but still it may be helpful to have that ability.

Good idea!

Maybe for even more flexibility you should say "add, remove, or change". You might want to retire tokens at some point for various reasons.

Make level 3 modular. It represents a specialization of your safehold.

It could be conjurer that summons the current followers, or instead it could be a psionist monk temple that unlocks more panic abilities or something else you haven’t thought of yet.

By making it modular it is ok to have less tokens to start with. You can expand it year over year (maybe tie it to the year’s theme).

Hi Jeff,

On Page 4, it says " but you can only equip a single Follower in an adventure unless you have a Safehold II (or better), in which case you may equip up to two Followers". From the chart, it never goes above 1 Follower.

Thanks,
Mike

Actually, there could be tokens that consume multiple slots and these guys could enable those multislot tokens to consume only a single slot. Form of slot expansion that introduces an entirely new token type but not useful for just adding more tokens to builds.

Linked Earcuffs of Lightning
Both ear slots, All
-5 dmg from Shock, All attacks deal +5 dmg as Shock

Follower Mousekin
Gain 1 add'l ear slot only for multislot tokens

Might be hard to program, though.

I may be in the minority, but I actually really like the follower tokens as presented in the v6 of the document. Specifically, you can only ever equip one follower and that follower allows you to do something that no other token lets you do -- one extra slot for something there is no other way to get an extra slot for. I think that's really cool, and it isn't crazy expensive to get to Safehold III and craft a single follower. That's a good level for a lot of players to get to. It's affordable and it grants a really cool and unique power. I also love the diversity that this will create -- if you look at a bunch of different builds, they'll tend to each benefit from a different slot to be expanded.

Then, if a player wants to go really hardcore (or, "Mythic" shall I say) then can move past that to Safehold II and I. But a newbie can just get a Safehold V and get something cool. A power player can go Safehold III and get a Follower. And us crazies can go to Safehold I.

We buy, sell, and trade True Dungeon tokens. We also have a convenient consignment program where you can sell your own tokens.

After some time away (and food!) I am inclined to agree with Kirk here. I wanted some cool unique power that folks would try to work toward to acquire -- sort of a good Safehold III power some folks would work to get to and then stop there. Giving 8 slots (that currently don't have a way to expand into more spots) the chance to make one more spot available fills that need.

The power level seems about right, too -- as I see this group of tokens something akin to a Legendary+ item. I don't see any huge problems here...like letting a character wear two different Giant Strength belts. But maybe you can think of something that would be super-broken?

These Follower tokens do

Along these lines can we replace Dragonkin's Figurine with Waist slot then?

For something not currently doable how about equiping a weapon/item outside your class. Each follower could grant access to a different classes weapons.

Overall I like the design, I just wish mythic 1 & 2 could have different names/mechanics. Maybe something like mythic & devine.

Maybe even with a restriction like you can only equip 1 mythic/devine class item at safehold 2, but safehold 1 let's you have more.

Perhaps another another fun gimmick would be giving the followers alignments as something for us to key off of later.
