TOPIC: 2024 Rare Token Ideas

Wizard could use some options in a few slots at rare. I mostly play monk or wizard at rare level and the melee classes have significantly better tokens at rare.

Spells could really use a wrist slot. Maybe +2 dmg with spells similar to the rare melee/missile bracers (shock or fire dmg?)

Staff of focus is 7 years old and the only real weapon for wizards at rare. Could use a reprint or maybe small upgrade.
Assassin’s blade +1 and berserker carnage axe +1 are both significantly upgrades to melee at rare, especially when combined with enchanter’s whetstone.

Robe for wizards other than robe of the deft? (The stalker battlecoat is a new option but a rare pack token would be nice)

Bracers of arcane bolt
+2 shock dmg to spells

Staff of arcane fire
+2 fire dmg to spells

Robe of the hedge mage
+1 to saves, +1 to spell dmg.

I like the idea of a rare staff for wizards, but would consider a useful ability over +1 focus (or +2 damage). Maybe:

Staff of the Prodigy: May recast a 1st-level spell just cast as a scroll

Polymorph Potion:
Ygg Sprout (thinking Tree of Life style)
Can use non-damage spells and healing gets +2 (weak damage wheel).

No other polymorph forms may be used for this room (similar wording to the elementals.)

Thematically gives druids a “healing form” when they do more of that role than damage.

More tokens that deal damage to you for a larger effect.
I really liked Gloves of the Midgard Serpent, so anything in that vein is a good idea

Lenses of Foesight - Eyes - Usable by All

+2 to DEX; Evil creatures count as Favored Enemies for Ranger

Shield of Deflection - +2 AC - Usable by Fighters, Paladin
As a free action, you may not be hit by non-magical missiles next round

Boots of Heroism - Usable by All
+1 to hit, 1/room regenerate 2 HP when a monster is defeated

Prismatic Robe - Torso - Usable by All
+1 to AC, -1 from Cold, Fire, and Shock Damage

Salamader Hide Armor - Usable by Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Fighters, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue
+4 to AC, 3 Fire retaliation, -1 from fire damage

Crystalline Armor - Torso - Cleric, Fighters, and Paladin
+8 to AC
Whenever your are dealt shock damage, retaliate 5 shock damage

Juggernaut of Karnak - Usable by All
Consumable, One Use
10 Points of Force Damage to 1 target. Reflex DC-15 for half damage.

A streamlined version of Scroll Blink or Scroll False Image:

Scroll Displacement - Bard and Wizards
One Use, Consumable

Attacks with an odd numbered die roll miss you. (1 room)
