I think the boots are lackluster and no matter what, I see Bo4W escalating In Price as people contemplate the legendary vs a secondary Bo4W. Ultimately getting trade items sold and what not to cover that cost of Bo4W will be the new thing for the foot track (pun intend3d)

I think for TDHQ, the result is the same. They get sales as a result. Make no mistake 2023 sales are all about the shirts and more significantly the TE bead.

The sink (aka map) is the solution to continue to sell tokens, and to correct secondary markets. It just needs to address the whole market, and be cheap enough to allow more participation. 20 t1 is not expensive, it is not an introductory token transmute though. It doesn’t feed the niche of “hey I have a few extra” though I’m not sure who it targets.

I don’t like it because I will be crafting the shirt and not the boots, but if I set my personal motivations aside I agree this would make a lot of sense. Also as this is the first item of the new set I think there is a chance to reset expectations for the Arcanum items.

Not only is 20 T1 not expensive, it's too cheap. If PTM had been 20 T1, like it should have been, would have run out like two months later!

I'd rather not see the Arcanum transmute costs go up, unlike legendaries it's not a timeless recipe so those of us who collected all four UR shirts but do not have large stockpiles of trade goods need to be able to afford to transmute it while the recipe is still available.

It's odd that on the one hand you're advocating lower cost transmutes and on the other hand suggesting doubling the transmute cost for a transmute that is following the pattern clearly set by it's predecessors and already includes four URs.

Just saying that doubling the trade good requirements got us to where we are now. It started with the class legendarirs....each year they took more bits to complete punishing certain classes just for being last in line.

IMO....I understand the need to keep the value of the trade goods reasonable and the recipes at a point that they hold value. At the same time I feel like if you've over bought 8k orders you have a ton of bits left over its partly your own fault if they don't hold value.

I wasn't aware there was a precedent for Arcanum transmutes. Which token was that - I thought the shirt was the first in the set?

I'm advocating for transmute costs to be in line with token desirability and power. The multi year transmutes generally end up being the top of the power level and are comparatively inexpensive compared to new relics and legendaries. Boots of the 4 winds is still the top power item in the boots slot (at a creation cost substantially less than contemporary legendaries), and remains so even with a Vim's inbound. To create some kind of possibility build diversity, Vim's needs to come in at a reasonable price point (less than secondary market 4 winds, not not double secondary market 4 winds). In retrospect, 4 winds could have had 4x the TG transmute cost and it still would have been undercosted in relation to its power level.
