Was too busy IRL to comment on this afternoon's thread, but I want to say a huge thank you for turning our eleventh-hour suggestions into Ring of the Savant!

I am SUPER excited for this token set :woohoo:
dmrzzz's trade thread

Yes, my AC is lower than the Wizard's. No regrets!

IMPORTANT ERROR:. +2 sacred sling damage wheel does not match existing sacred sling. Should be 5-6-7-8*

Good catch, I missed this. A definite must fix.

Gauntlets of Divine Guidance
You can drop the 'cast' and 'pts'
+3 to hit with Melee weapons & +2 to healing spells

Ring of the Savant
The way this is worded sounds like a flat +5 is added on to the total of the spell, not necessarily the total of the skill check itself. Not sure if that differentiation matters, but it's worth pointing out.

Robe of Harmony
Probably doesn't need parentheses. Polymorph is usually not capitalized on tokens.
1st-3rd level healing & damage spells & polymorph damage get +4 to total

Shirt of the Shrewd
Has an oxford comma
+3 to damage spells, healing spells & polymorph damage. -1 to saves

Rares
Cloak of Mystic Flourish
can probably drop the second instance of 'w/ Mystic Staves'
+2 to hit w/ Mystic Staves (Wizards: total +3 to hit)

Fancy Hat
I wonder if the 'or' should be an '&'. I think it would sound better that way.
+1 to AC (Bard: Bardsong works underwater & in magical silence)

Pants of the Pub
Should probably have an ampersand. Can shorten Constitution to CON to make room.
+2 to CON & -1 to Reflex saves

Ring of Sacred Touch
After noticing that Rogue is on multiple augmented rares, I think this Ring should be templated like the other augmented rares. Spacing should work since you won't need to list 'sacred' twice.
+1 Sacred damge w/ Melee attacks (Cleric & Paladin: total +2 dmg)

Uncommons
Bead of the Cleaver
'You gain' is unnecessary text
+1 to hit & +1 to damage with Axe weapons

Cloak of Wealguard
You can drop the '(1/game)' since Elf Wizards only have one cast of Instant Safeguard. Instant Safeguard shouldn't have quotation marks since other spell-referencing tokens (ex- Magic Missile, ex- Remove Disease) don't use quotation marks.
Enhances Instant Safeguard spell to AC-18

Potion Fine Spirits
You can drop 'effect'
Heals 3 pts of dmg to 1 person & removes Fear

Commons
Grave Hunter Shirt
'Attacks' shouldn't be capitalized
Immune to Paralysis from Undead Touch attacks

Potion Warm Spirits
Does 'effect' need to be in the text?

Scroll Gaze Reflection
Parentheses seem unnecessary here.
Grants caster immunity to Gaze attacks

The Ring of the Savant wording was intentional to prevent effects like the MEC from doubling the damage.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why is it ok for Druids to be on the Robe but not wizards?

Probably because Druids have Armor options that they would have to sacrifice to wear the robes. Not as good as Clerics of course, but my Druid would have to swap out Dragonscale Armor, which I don't think I'd be willing to do. It seems like it would be a BIS UR armor token for Wizards, far better than the two Robes previously printed.

If I remember correctly, the thought is that Wizards have minimal opportunity cost to equip the Robe. Druids have to give up Redoubt, Lucky, Death Knight, or a grab bag of Rare armors with some decent benefits. I know AC is viewed as a low value stat, but it's not completely worthless.

I missed the “cannot wear another bead of whispers” thread I believe. Is this intended to impact rogues negatively with the UR bead of whispers ability not being moved to the relic/legendary, and also not being able to use the beads in conjunction?

Not asking for a change, just curious around the reasons.

Side note, can I use Edikar’s , and if I fail use the bead as a “fail safe”?

Thanks again for including our feedback!

Last night, when Jeff was implementing the no stacking Whisper Beads, his concern was people using the Relic and Legendary at the same time, along with the almost certainty that there will be future Bead expanders.

The bead's special ability can only be used on an untried skill test, so it can't be a backup plan if someone fails the test.

Would there be any possibility of renaming the UR Bead of Whispers to something else? This would allow it to be equipped at the same time as either the Relic or Legendary, while the Relic and Legendary would still prevent each other being equipped at the same time. Otherwise, could the Rogue ability be retained on the Relic and Legendary?

The current versions put Rogues in a bit of an odd situation. Do we keep the UR to have the option of an auto-pass in our builds and lose the ability to gain bigger save bonuses, or do we upgrade to the Relic or Legendary to gain more saves but lose the auto-pass ability? I'm all for build diversity, but transmuting a useful Rogue-specific token into a generically useful token without a Rogue ability will likely not feel great.
I play Rogue. Occasionally I even play Rogue well.

As a salty wizard player, I don't think that "wizards have historically never gotten a useful robe so they can't have one now" is really a great long term strategy for that slot. In DnD, there are plenty of magic robes for wizards to use, and they historically enhance arcane abilities over providing defense. This robe is a perfect fit for that thematically.

As far as existing UR armor options for Wiz:
- Robe of the Archmage is outright useless, shouldn't be considered as a precedent.
- Moonhide is part of the starhide transmute chain, and really should mostly be considered in that context. This focus robe would be better, but there are literally two options.

For what it's worth, the starhide++ transmutes are probably better/more slot efficient still for wizards. The dex it provides to hit your AC 15 target opens up enough other slots. I'll leave it up to someone else to do the math though if they want, but anecdotally, I'm using something like 4 slots to hit my dex needs that the robe would handle. :)

If starhide++ is entirely outclassed, then it's probably worth asking whether or not it should be +4 in that slot period? AC isn't a real tradeoff to make 80%+ of the time, especially for about +4 focus at NM+ difficulty. You'd have to be trading off much more AC than those slots are actually providing to even make that worth considering.
