TOPIC: 2023 Transmuted Beta Token Images

Very satisfied with the new greaves. I also think they'd be fine at the same ability, as a relic transmute, which the TBO greaves could count towards in some small way, for example as an optional component.

Thought the IS was fine, but I understand nixing it as it wasn't generating a lot of excitement.

I am not sure more +melee/ranged damage is a good way to go for a pair of new legendary items, since Muk's just came out.

Jeff, sorry to hear that. So, just to clarify, the next 4C token won't include any monster ingredient tokens prior to 2022? Just checking before transmuting a bunch of Golden Fleece.

Personally I want there to be a transmute for the lost Covid years even if it’s more funny than good, making a joke of these years.

Druegar said something to the equivalent of there may be a “fun” Covid 4c, although I’m pretty sure he said don’t hold your breath.

If there is, depending on the power or I power, I’ll make 3 currently. On the flip side that’ll make 6 GF that I can trade maybe? The 2022 will likely be worth more if the treasure map uses / requires them, so maybe half as many?

I think the gloves giving 3x crit (even at legendary) which would presumably stack with Thor's expanded crit range, might be a recipe for disaster. Assassin's crossbow with Raphiel's is already tough,, now everyone can do it every round??

UR greaves that do all that seem to be a bit much. I'd prefer the transmute path I suppose, but then you'll get plenty of people who say, "But I didn't know, and I transmuted all my greaves...."

My recollection of Druegar's comment was something along the lines of , as of right now, there are not any plans to do a 4c token that includes the 2020 monster bits. I believe I recall this from 2020, so it could be completely off base.
I'd agree, if there isn't something more than a reaver or 4* transmute to use these one, fleece is going to plummet. That may not be a problem, but that's my prediction.

While it’s probably too late for feedback at this point in the thread, I’d suggest the gloves transmute go back to the Dex line. +5 Dex / -2 str,
+6 / -1,
+7.

If you need a crit kicker, add it at the relic and legendary phase, but I’m not sure it’s strictly necessary

If there is no 4c/storyline relic from over the VTD years a lot of monsters bits a bunch of us have been farming over the last few years just became kind of worthless. The knock of of which is I would expect the price of golden fleece to tank hard.

It doesnt need to be earth shattering but having nothing to all those VTD bits isnt great. I'm also not sure you'll avoid complaining down the line by starting a new 4c this year with gencon. With 8 bits in the series and gencon still being a question for a lot of people, it feels like 2012 everyone skipped the regular box bits volume in the making again.

Thanks for all the amazing feedback and help with the always sticky Transmutes. Here is my current plan...please give me your feedback before I spend big bucks on art and then hours on the graphic design.

1) Change the Greaves back to the original idea of them being an epic conclusion to Greaves tokens in the treasure boxes only. A NEW surprise will await you in 2023. After six years, it is time for a change. The Transmute Greaves are gone.



2) Change the Acherin’s Gloves as shown and take them up to Legendary. Here is the new Gloves image:



Progression:

UR: +2 to dmg w/Ranged attacks (& they also Crit on a "19-20")
Relic: +5 to dmg w/Ranged attacks (& they also Crit on a "19-20")
Legendary: +6 to dmg w/Ranged, Crit on a "19-20", X3 dmg to Crits

3) Change the Linda's Boots to Gloves take them up to Legendary.

Progression: (Matches Acherin's stats exactly but with Melee)

UR: +2 to dmg w/Melee attacks (& they also Crit on a "19-20")
Relic: +5 to dmg w/Melee attacks (& they also Crit on a "19-20")
Legendary: +6 to dmg w/Melee, Crit on a "19-20", X3 dmg to Crits

NOTES on 3-4): I like this idea to give good sliders a chance to shine under pressure -- both in Melee or Ranged...but not both. You will have to decide which way to go.

4) Delete the Ioun Stones, too.

I would like to see a transmute path on the Greaves that included older greaves in it or make the drop rate in the treasure much higher than URs normally are in the treasure.

I like the legendary gloves and would make them if printed as is. I do like it synergies we with the rogue legendary.

On the boots maybe keep the monk and Ranger off if people think 2 attacks at 3x damage is to much, personally I think it’s probably fine because they need to hit still and this will make them decide if the want to use the boots of the 4 winds or the legendary.

This proposal includes boots becoming gloves, the choice is buy and transmute melee or ranged.

Also, I like the idea of honorarily named URs staying as is, so they see more play. A la Cranston's. Unless the plan would be to carry the name through.

I may missed that detail

Upon review, is the plan for the greaves to be a UR TBO token, or a "standard" UR token? I'm not clear.
