I agree. If you leave these tokens in the treasure or whatever for XX more years then every single player will have one and then why is it even Legendary and why do other level enhancers exist after this?

I agree. If you leave these tokens in the treasure or whatever for XX more years then every single player will have one and then why is it even Legendary and why do other level enhancers exist after this?

And it won't be the small treasure people that will be making them over the years - it will be the guys doing dozens of runs, building them (or selling the bits) in bulk.

It's cool as a one off, but probably not something that should stay in treasure more than a year.

People who don't play enough to collect 40 rare drops from treasure boxes will likely be looking for other level enhancers, but leaving this recipe in gives more flexibility on how often a new +level token is introduced instead of basically needing a new one every two years to keep it available for incoming players

I'm not certain requiring 40 unique items from treasure boxes with a ~3% drop rate meets the definition of easy.

Given zero duplicates/perfect trading opportunities, one would need to collect about 1,200 treasure pulls to get one. For a person with max treasure enhancers, that's 53 runs. I don't have access to the information that TDHQ has, obviously, but I'd be absolutely shocked if there are much more than a dozen people who average 10 runs per vTD weekend. Looking at the spreadsheet, there are about seven that report those kind of numbers, and I suspect at least one or two of those are reporting group pulls.

I have doubts these are going to be as common as people are fearing

Someone made the point that maybe the problem is that it's a legendary. If this was a relic, then it feels like it could be more common.

OTOH, its effect is legendary since it's slotless. Could have called it a relic, but the other relics of Heroism take up valuable slots. This is just nothing for money and HP for free.

I think people are grossly underestimating how many will end up being made from one year of treasure. Either that, or they don't care that legendaries are supposed to be actual effort to get.

Regardless, the more of these that are in the environment, the more any other way to gain level is undercut in value as you can't get better than slotless, just be equivalent to it.

If anybody can easily level up, there's no point in having a 4th level anymore. Can just drop all of the level boosters and have everyone play the same character cards.

If you leave the plat tinker tokens in for essentially forever then you need to abandon all other ways to print level enhancers unless you do a Level 6.

I like the idea of a new set of special tokens in the treasure boxes every year. :)

+1 please keep this reprinting for several more years (5+). It incents players to keep hitting the dungeons and if they get a few years to com0lete it, then they are likely to buy tokens to support the effort.

I disagree there. Charming, might, etc sets for levels as well as the ring and charm still have a place. Add to that items like cooks and there will always be a plave for a quick jump to level 5. Even with the platinum bits, the slotless +1 level is expensive to craft. It would still be vastly cheaper to doing it any way other than the platinum bits. The platinum bits have the benefit of being something earned over time that doesn’t apply to most transmutes.

Based on the math, you get one sprocket for every 30-40 draws. Assuming you get max treasure (unlikely if you are newer) - you can earn one totem in 40 runs. For the average player, that is multiple years. This is at a cost of $70/run.

Printing this for multiple years will have zero impact on other level boosting itmes (that are far cheaper and available immediately.)

People trade. People sell. You can get like 13 tinker toys from me right now, though it would be expensive to go that route as I'm not pricing for bulk buying.

I estimate 5 ToH worth are generated each month of VTD. It will take time for people to coalesce, and that's maybe not comparable to how many legendaries people are transmuting each month, but it's not a trivial number.
