Nice! Maybe lean more into the Ghost Aspect (and I love how the cutout around the eyes makes it clear it's a costume )

How about a runestone fitting base transmute?

Right now the fitting base is limited to rares.

What if we had a relic fitting base (only attachable to UR+ weapons) that allowed 4* runestones, and then created some interesting 4* runestones that let you customize your weapon a bit? This would basically give UR weapons some competition to the Enchanter's Whetstone + rare, without just pushing the same problem up the stack (a UR whetstone that makes URs equal to relic weapons).


Perhaps something like this:
Supreme Runestone Fitting Base
Allow an additional runestone to be affixed to weapon

Some ideas for 4* runestones:
Quicksilver Runestone: If equipping 2H weapon, gain 1 initiative.
Warding Runestone: If equipping a sword (1H melee weapon?) and shield, gain +1 AC

Or some other effects:
Obsidian Runestone: hits and damage an enemy with this weapon and the wielder heals 1 HP.
Sundering Runestone: An enemy hit by gets -1 AC for 1 round.

Any potential for a multi year rare transmute? Could make a transmute path accessible to casual players were the final transmute might be 2/3 rare treasure items that combine (with some trade goods) into a UR power level item? Might reward casual players for sticking with it?

Point of order - the combined nugget doesn’t add treasure, it just reduces the number of tokens you have to carry around.

My description may have been erroneous. The CoA reduced the number of tokens you had to carry as well and did not add treasure. I am mostly concerned about adding recipes for which the ingredients aren't all in print at the time the recipe was created.

I really like these ideas. The only one I would shy away from is the Sundering Runestone - for VTD, it could get complicated. Both the healing effect and the initiative effects would make great runestones.

Maybe these get themed as new eldritch runestones?

This sounds like a great idea. Maybe have them use the rare treasure-enhancing tokens as a base. I know that when I first started, transmuting anything seemed like such a monumental task. Things have definitely gotten better in the last few years, but anything to keep casual player engament high will always get a +1 from me.
