Ranger (maybe others?)

Any ammo used by the player will return to the player's quiver as long as it is not a Critical Hit (includes critical modifiers).

I'm sure I've seen it happen a few time, but I honestly can't remember a single time a player has used ammo during a run. I feel like ammo is kind of pointless at the moment and players need incentive to want to use ammo without feeling like it's just a waste.

This should greatly benefit casual or new players who likely will not have any kind of Critical Modifier, so the loss of their ammo would not occur often as they'd have to roll a Natural 20.
On the other string high-end players could still benefit from it, but not as much as newer players.

I'll toss in another request for some UR design to filter down into the Rare level, but fenced off a bit to protect UR tokens.

The default Rogue stats are heavily biased towards ranged, but Sneak Attack is Melee by default. It would be nice to have the Ranged Sneak Attack ability brought into Rare with some heavy usage restrictions. Those could be any or all of:
- Weapon limitation to daggers, shuriken, and hand crossbows (d4 piercing weapons)
- 1/room (can't use various double sneak attack tokens) or 1/game (probably too restrictive)
- Competitive slot like Back (+ Saves cloaks) or Hands (ranged/missile damage, although Sneak Attack damage outpaces the 8-12 damage that 4* and under gloves would provide)

I like this idea but with the Charm of Brooching the Back slot might not be as competitive as Neck or even boots for a ranged rogue,

I understand what you're saying about Brooching. My thought is that by the time someone is buying an OOP ultra-rare to have their saves and ranged sneak too, they could just as easily get a Nightshade's +2 Throwing Dagger for the same effect, but in a weapon slot. Even if someone is doing this proposed token + Brooching, it becomes a tougher choice when you look to go to Nightmare and run up against the saves wall.

I thought about proposing Neck, but I didn't want to force a choice between this and the class Relic/Legendary. Because then splurging on that "capstone" token has an extra cost to maintain build effectiveness, as you'd need to get both the class neck and a replacement for ranged sneak.

Any time the wielder of this weapon successfully hits and damages an enemy with this weapon, the wielder heals 1 HP.

Could be tied to dark sea elves, if such things exist in TD lore.

Yeah, I figured you were thinking that and in my mind it became a game of who would be using this... random player... nah... If it is someone who won't/can't get many UR's, then your analysis was correct. But it could also be used by those with some UR's, but not that one.

Yeah, I figured you were thinking that and in my mind it became a game of who would be using this... random player... nah... If it is someone who won't/can't get many UR's, then your analysis was correct. But it could also be used by those with some UR's, but not that one.


Honestly, my hope is that at least some random players would use it because it aligns with the stats on the Rogue card better than trying to force a Melee build. It's a really tough balance to try and move these powers down into Rare territory in a way that doesn't devalue the UR tokens, as Amulet of Flawsight and Lenses of Close Inspection both showed.
