Ghost pirate totem paint same effect one of the wondering ghosts maybe for a different slot.

boots of ogre power +1 str, maybe with a monk attack wheel.

Ogre set, wear 3 ogre power items get +4 hp, they're not hard to get and it might be a fun way to introduce newer players to older token traders after our long absence from physical.

Weighted net same as the woodie, I'd just like to see it get a chippie it's still a good token and nets are on theme for a pirate year.

A Rare / Uncommon / Common "Crew" synergy cycle.

Captain's Doublet (Torso)

+1 to AC for each "Mate" or "Sailor" in the party (max 9)

Usable by: All but Monk and Wizard

+1 to melee damage if there is a Captain in the party
+1 to melee to-hit if there is a Mate in the party

If this happens, you could imagine other "crew" related tokens like:

Cook's Cap - You're a sailor. +1 Max HP. All Captains, Mates, and Sailors get +1 Max HP

Lookout's Spyglass - You're a sailor. +1 to party initiative for each Captain, Mate, and Sailor in the party (Max 3)

And so on.

Arcane Tome of Abjuration

You may take no offensive actions during the first round of combat.
You may cast spells and scrolls that target yourself or a single party member with free actions.

Rapier of focus. Give some spell power to the bards. Or even a 5th level ranger's cure spell.

Some more scroll damage would be welcome, perhaps a hat or gloves?

I think this is both a terrible and a great idea.

Terrible because BotB is to powerful for the rarity. What is the next UR Str / melee belt if BotB stays? Can't reprint any of the existing URs without every feedback thead being "but BotB". You also can't ever realistically reprint Belt of Ogre power or Belt of the Beserker either.

Its a great idea because it would allow for a nerf to be present as part of the reprint and allow an exchange. In this case, I'd recommend putting the driectly named "belt of the brave" in the set, but print it as "+2 hit / +2 damage with rare weapons"

At the rare level maybe this could be +1 Whip and go for 2-3-4-5, it's hard to know how to balance the -AC effect as there aren't a ton of comparisons.

It is sort of like Seylah's, but repeated hits from the same player don't stack on AC reduction. Idea is it would basically look like a tentacle and the AC reduction is due to suckers on the tentacle interfering with the enemy movement (so on the off chance there is an enemy with freedom of movement, I guess it could be marked as immune to this effect in the room writeup). I would see hits from multiple players stacking up to the normal limit of -6 to the stat but that might be too much.

If it seems too strong, it could be weakened by requiring the wielder to forego their attack the next round (which would make sense as the whip is theoretically still attached to the target). At that point I'm not sure even for pug groups it would be a particularly desirable option (other than thematically).

Image would maybe be a relatively thin squid tentacle with at least some of the suckers side visible.

It's been awhile since there was a straight up immune to surprise rare token (Goggles of Serpent Sight 2014).
