TOPIC: Transmuted Elder Orb of Dragonkind allows Duplicate Orbs in Recipe

Jeff's past post said the Orb's would not be Uber powerful but rather "geeky true dungeon fun". Or something like that. So if anyone is expecting crazy powerful Tokens there's a real possibility their dreams are going to be crushed harder then ever. But the storm shall come. The storm of whiners and complainers who are upset with the Orb's power. Get your umbrella's out now ..

Adventurers need to think and be positive! By allowing duplicate Orbs in the recipe, more adventurers will be able to transmute an Elder Orb and join in the fun.

That is easier to do if someone didn't think they needed to get distinct one and maybe traded a duplicate away for a distinct one with a premium, which is more likely than not to happen.

I 100% agree it is a good change. However if anyone is salty because they attempted to acquire distinct ones, I would not fault them for being salty. I am willing to bet there are more recent orbs than past ones making past one more of a premium that recent. Before this actual recipe announcement how many folks would have traded an older one away for a newer one on a 1:1 trade? Someone maybe for sure but not most. Again I do think it is a good change because there are again likely more of the recent orbs older. So it is a good way to put those orbs to use. And once again I own zero dragon orbs and don't plan to acquire any unless I pull 3 from treasure in the next couple months...lol.

I am one of those who traded a duplicate for another (acted on my knowledge of the recipe at the time). However, I still believe this change is in the best interests of the community. I have had my share of good deals and not so great or worse. I believe karma comes back around and we only act on the information we have at the time. Good things happen to good people. Kind of like going on a run and having the 10th member provide CoA's for everyone. Thank you Jedi you are great and I will bring you more salsa this year.

I will shut up now on this topic because I am getting salsa and that is all that makes me happy.

I like the "any 5" recipe because it will allow more orbs to be made, and thus more will be out there for people to get who want them.

I can understand why some people who went to great lengths to get 5 different orbs could feel bad about this. If you are feeling bad about this, send me a PM and I'll send you something to cheer you up.
