If you can't redeem them yourself, sell them to someone who can.

I'm not concerned with the cost/price of PTM. I'm concerned that the pull on treasure will either be much more than anticipated or that it will be as anticipated and the treasure dilution will continue. And, then, I'm concerned about the logistical headaches involved in: getting those pulls, getting uncommons and rares with no use besides trade goods, becoming trade goods, becoming more PTM, becoming more pulls in some sort of engine of transactions that don't really accomplish anything.

Most transmutes, besides obviously trade goods and reserve bars, are terminal. This is not entirely a perpetual motion machine, but it's rather circular.

That makes it great gambling sink (which should be a token btw), but a terrible investment, imo.

Based on Ian's circular thing I also hope they are NOT in the treasure boxes.

I think it's fine if they are I the boxes so long as you loose some momentum every iteration.

They should not be in the VTD treasure box. Again given the uncertainty around PTD.

And it being the same box (I think), they should not be in PTD treasure box. Please and thank you.

Glad that happened.

So what does it do for trade 1 in other recipes?
Is the pirate map a 2 year trial followed by a treasure chest, and a mimic mimic two years after that (which is a chest that is not a mimic for clarification)?
Since it is 1k bar OR mb, and there is rumor of MB transmute (I love them, the ear cuff was great fun to make after our travels) is there any speculation regarding other recipes and the need for fleece or MB?

Do folks share the same opinion of 10x Treasure chips being in the box?

All transmutes should be in boxes to some degree

I’m fine with this being in the box, I’m concerned that we have excess trade 1 that can go into an infinite (5 at a time) recycle loop.

So, I’m not an economist so if you are by trade, or a game designer for an MMO please correct me if I am wrong.

This is what keeps the economy of MMO video games stable. When money rains from the sky and nobody has an appropriate sink (maintain armor for wow, 0.0 space for Eve online, this treasure map) then the economies of games can grow until they’re unstoppable. I will keep this to other games for the time, draw your own conclusions please. Eve has even a legit money conversion so you can convert in game money into real money with an approved game system. Monthly access is $15, monthly access cards can be purchased with in game money (a second sink, it is high but not unreasonable) and those cards can be sold and are partially expected to be sold (even in the in game trade system). Currently TD has no such system, though as others have pointed out this will drive up demand for Planks, maybe until they’re 1k gp less than $3 for 10. Pulls could also come down from $3 each.

I am not a spirit talker, I am concerned with increasing the “cost” of transmutes with any additional trade 1 this year, with the inclusion of a sink in the system.

One case I haven’t heard yet is the chance that of the new pulls, all 10 could be trade 1, so no gold. This requires the player to get 1k gold, visit the transmute room, and repeat. This is incredibly unlikely though statistics. Legendaries have been mentioned yes, that … might be as unlikely. Sinks are good for the health of fame economies, they keep those games alive and remove glut, play eve online and go to 0.0 space, you’ll lose money even if you don’t lose ships, unless you make great bank. I want to make it clear I really appreciate this, just that costs likely are going to swing, and I’m not the economist to be predicting this.

Again, I am not an economist.

This is not a 10x chip. It’s a 10x chip that cannot be redeemed via mail.

Even if you used a Pirate Map and pulled all rare tokens, with 2 of them adding up to 1k in GP and the other 8 being all of the same TG type, you would still be only getting 48 points towards more trade goods, which is less than 1/5th of what you'd need to make a new map. So if you used 5 maps, and pulled all rare chips, you'd still be shy of what you'd need to make a new map, unless you got 5 monster bits and 45 rare tokens that allowed you to make a new map. I am not worried about anyone looping there Pirate Maps.

Have you looked it up in the TDb?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

That’s similar time frame for relic creation timelines from 2022 right?
