I’m fine with this being in the box, I’m concerned that we have excess trade 1 that can go into an infinite (5 at a time) recycle loop.
So, I’m not an economist so if you are by trade, or a game designer for an MMO please correct me if I am wrong.
This is what keeps the economy of MMO video games stable. When money rains from the sky and nobody has an appropriate sink (maintain armor for wow, 0.0 space for Eve online, this treasure map) then the economies of games can grow until they’re unstoppable. I will keep this to other games for the time, draw your own conclusions please. Eve has even a legit money conversion so you can convert in game money into real money with an approved game system. Monthly access is $15, monthly access cards can be purchased with in game money (a second sink, it is high but not unreasonable) and those cards can be sold and are partially expected to be sold (even in the in game trade system). Currently TD has no such system, though as others have pointed out this will drive up demand for Planks, maybe until they’re 1k gp less than $3 for 10. Pulls could also come down from $3 each.
I am not a spirit talker, I am concerned with increasing the “cost” of transmutes with any additional trade 1 this year, with the inclusion of a sink in the system.
One case I haven’t heard yet is the chance that of the new pulls, all 10 could be trade 1, so no gold. This requires the player to get 1k gold, visit the transmute room, and repeat. This is incredibly unlikely though statistics. Legendaries have been mentioned yes, that … might be as unlikely. Sinks are good for the health of fame economies, they keep those games alive and remove glut, play eve online and go to 0.0 space, you’ll lose money even if you don’t lose ships, unless you make great bank. I want to make it clear I really appreciate this, just that costs likely are going to swing, and I’m not the economist to be predicting this.
Again, I am not an economist.
