How do you feel if the bead expander moves to ear? And the bead of jealous heroism doesn’t allow ear items?

It means you could get your +1 level from bead, but couldn’t expand your bead slots until you upgraded to a different level enhancer.

Canon for theme runs
Charm Bracelets for the transmute path
Lamp for the boost
Brooch is a slot expander
Bead of Focus as a caster
Lucky Charm since gaining 2-4 charm slots
Ring of Havoc for the upgrade path
Butterfly Cloak for theme runs.


That's a fair number of buys

I like the design change. The earlier concern about making it clear that it's this lamp only could be fixed by changing it to "# this Lamp in Party" or something to that effect.

To Wade's point--how about:

1-2: 2 hp
3-4: 4 hp
5-6: 6 hp
7-9: 8 hp
10: 10 hp

So, barbarian is way better than fighter. Loses a few armor options but can still have high AC. Has barely any disad at hitting since it has a higher STR than fighters do - barbarian and DF have identical to hits at both melee and range, for instance. Inflicts vastly more damage. DR is a really nice to have. Better hp.

Earcuff of the Ravager does not need to be better for typical barbarian builds in comparison to typical fighter (and can throw in paladin, etc.) builds. It makes zero thematic sense to class limit it to take off barbarian, as named. However, changing the theme, since URs don't really follow theme in the same way to class restrict to fighters, fighters/paladin, fighters/paladin/cleric (this may make more sense as a heal someday), fighters/paladin/rogue, or fighters/paladin/cleric/rogue for no particular reason other than mechanical balance would help classes that need help.

Then, reads to me like monks and rangers will get double use, as monks have little reason not to use weapons.

I'm all in favor of more to hit bonuses in the game divorced from STR or DEX, but it should be more favorable to the classes that actually need help. +2 to hit with one attack a round, +2 to hit in a slot where it would hurt better classes more, class restricted, whatever.

I question how much the proposed + to hit earcuff will get used. Considering the existence of Arcane Earcuffs, Earcuff of Orbits, and the Earcuff of Orbits transmute line next year.

If there's a transmute line of earcuffs I don't see this UR getting much use at all

I do like having the highest level possible only be attainable by having 10 equipped.

Bead of Jealous Heroism - I think this needs at least one other slot, currently for new players it would be better than a charm of heroism

Brooch of Beading - Would still like to know if it is slotless or new slot, but I like the name and the layout.

Harlax's Lamp - I like this, min 2 hp, promotes Synergy, clean format

Just a reminder that Stu's Stein already exists.

Not saying the Mug shouldn't be removed but there's already existing UR drink items.

Understood. Just for most folks food is more acceptable than drink. So drink should be on a rarity level of equal to or less than food.
