+2 Chaos Cannon: This is a fun concept
+2 Mug of Battle: I like the design space of weapons adding stats, but not sure I like it being AC.
Badge of Beading: I really don’t like slotless items, but am also not a fan of adding a new slot right now.
Belt of the Fearless: While I like this belt, it is probably to strong.
Butterfly Cloak: This one is prefect as is, very cool design.
Mage Staff of Power: This items is a great addition to wizards, but could probably be a little stronger. Maybe +2 or at least +1 on the damage wheel. I don’t play wizard though so I could be totally wrong.
All the reprints are great choices.

When the shin slot was created Jeff stated that he planned for it to be treasure-box only. He can definitely change his mind on that, but I'd not plan on a UR to show up there ever.

Just realized we lost a bead, I think that is a good change.

Thoughts:

1. Badge of Beading. Good change over it being slotless, but also would prefer an existing slot to a new slot. I do agree with Matt that if there's a new badge slot it should probably have at least 2 slots open, or it'll be quickly painted into a design corner.

2. Belt of the Fearless. Feels like power creep. Relic strength belt (+5 STR) amounts to +2/3 hit and +2/3 damage. Losing the bonus on thrown weapon damage is not a significant tradeoff for this UR being as good as or better than a relic for melee purposes.

3. Butterfly Cloak: Seems ok now.

4. Death Knight Mail: Still missing set text.

5. Harlax's Helpful Lamp: May need to say "per Helpful Lamp" or "per copy" as there are other lamps in the game.

6. IS Flourite Sphere: Feels like power creep. Infernal fire prism was just +2 dmg. Perhaps +1 dmg and +2 incoming healing?

Not from standard collection for sure. Shin should stay treasure only, but I thought it would be cool to have a UR transmute like the FoP: Reaver where you collect a variety of greaves to make a slightly better one.

For Badge of Beading, I would much rather have it stay slotless then add a strange new slot just for that purpose. It also conflates with Badge of Nobility which is slotless.

If it must stay as a slot, it should not be called a Badge, and go back to Medal or Pin or Ribbon. And the language should not say (new slot w/ 1 space) as that is only true for this very specific point in time. It should just list whatever the slot is going to be. A couple options are collar (lapel) or shoulder (epaulettes).

Death Knight Mail should be listed as a set piece.

Harlax's Helpful Lamp, I much prefer this layout to that mashed layout. But I think it should maybe be

"+2 hp +1 additional hp / 2 Lamps" - So it is still a slotless 2 as a random pull, but goes up to 7. If that is too much then +1 add / 3 Lamps

Butterfly Cloak - Should say 10 hp in keeping with our standards

Already? The last time there was a new slot I can think of was the treasure only Greaves slot. That was a few years back.

Prior to that it was pants, and prior to that it was shirt.

It's probably not a short amount of time since a new slot came up, relative to slod additions in TD history, and I suspect we're overdue if you ignore the shin slot (which doesn't sell tokens).

If anything, we're at the limit of the previous longest time between new slots (2012->2016 vs 2018->2022).and that gap was after adding two new slots in the same year.

I definitely disagree with the notion that it's too soon for a new slot.

It may have been a while since there was a new slot, but we've also had a ton of slot expanders.

There is eventually a point of slot absurdity which will be detrimental instead of positive to keep adding slots. I really think we are starting to push that line.

Fair enough. That was before my time.

But to Endgames point, we’re getting absurd with number of slots.

What about putting it in the eyes or head slot?

I don't think the restriction on the Bead of Jealous Heroism is sufficient. Past URs have taken up both ring slots or both ring slots and the neck slot. Simply saying you have no use for a different UR is not very restrictive, It is no restriction at all to someone with just a few URs and someone with many URs/relics would already play 5th level characters from other means.

The mug with AC is a no go for me. With 2 Dex it would be an instant buy and 2 Con a will eventually buy. Or if it added two bead , that’s be great.

The bead of heroism needs to do something else detrimental. I still like no healing.

The belt is awesome for my fighter, but I acknowledge it’s way strong. I don’t see a reason to get rid of it for a better / ranged version of Belt of the Brave. (A completion token.). Fighter paladin makes sense.

Butterfly is now equipable, but I wouldn’t buy it over shadow skin or lucky. But I’m a spike ymmv.

IS:FS is too wordy and basically combines other recent URs. How about a +2 saves (and +2 hp when healed if we need it to be bigger than the other +2 ISs)?

DK mail bonus is crummy. +1 hit & +1 darkrift damage on main hand only? Or the bonus retribution damage Fiddy (?) suggested. Or ignore retribution damage up to con or something.

So everything is now usable by everyone. Except of course the spell caster specific stuff and their new toys. What are we doing to (uniquely) help the HF / DF?

No issues with the UR shadows except the Ioun Stone Fluorite Sphere doesn't have one... but I actually prefer that.
