This is clear to me. And if the intent is for other items to add the ability to channel more times but not gain the free action ability, OR to add other options than free action without another instance of channel, this is the way to go.
If these are intended to be tied together in all cases, then one of the suggestions that use a semi-colon to separate or a run-on sentence with commas is best to indicate they are not separate abilities.

I read as it two separate powers that are activate independently of one another now. The first is once per round. The second is once per room You spend 1+ on the first. Then you spend 15+ to active the second. The 1+ does not count towards the 15+ and the 15+ does not count towards the 1+.

Also can both of these independent powers be used on the same spell? Same turn?

For every 1 HP you channel into a damage spell gain 1 pt of damage, and cast as Free Action if 15+ HP is spent. (1/Room)


This is way better.


Agreed - this seems like the most concise/clear that I've read.


I like this, would just add a may.

This might be what is trying to be expressed:

Once per room you can channel hp(s) on a one for one basis into damage for a damage spell. If you spend more than 14 hps in this way you can also cast that spell as a free action.

Edwin, how do you read the first sentence as once per round? It says 1/room after both sentences.

This confusion is why it's probably ideal to only have (1/room) in there once. Either through your merged version or my semi-colon or some other similar phrasing.

For every 1 HP you channel into a damage spell gain 1 pt of damage, and cast as Free Action if 15+ HP is spent (1/Room)

For every 1 hp you channel into a damage spell, gain 1 pt of damage; if at least 15 hp is channeled, you may choose to cast the spell as a Free Action (1/room)


Edwin-do these versions make it clearer that there is only one use of any power (convert HP to damage, if more than 15, the spell is FA) off the token per room? I don't want you to think I'm singling you out, you're just the person who most recently expressed some confusion.
