I'm okay with 1st level spells (5/game) since that's the number of boxes on the character card.

RP (1/game) means it no longer applies to the +1 RP from the legendary. Is that intentional? If not, easily fixed by removing the "(1/game)"

You could mention in tokendb that it works for natural number of restore power uses, just doesn’t give extra.

Or just state "Restore Power is a free action" to make it apply to however many instances the character may have.

+1 if it is desired to stack with the legendary

This nerfing anything the Druid is associated with is pretty annoying. It's the same thing that happened in 2019 which resulted in the Druid's Legendary being the weakest of any Class Legendary. The Wizard easily deals more Damage than the Druid, even with this Ring in it's original form, and yet somehow it's unacceptable for the Druid to gain in power, unlike every other class. Just like it's fine for the Wizard and Bard to be on the Ring of Power, but for some reason not the Druid.

You can't look at this token in a vacuum. You have to consider the fact that Charm of Spell Swapping exists.

Jeff commented how the Wizard necklaces had to start over from square one because it was inadvisable to not consider Mad Evoker's Charm.

CoSS with Ring of Quick Blessing would have allowed for 10 free action damage spells. That's just way too many for any class.

Allowing any class to apply damage modifiers more than once per round leads to balancing issues. As printed, this would still allow this to occur 5x per game.

IMHO, Druids do get to have nice things. This ring is still a very nice option for Druids.

5x per game seems like a lot. 3 might be better. Or maybe make the max number of times per game conditional on a stat (wish/int). Not sure how you would fit that on the Token.

I think 5x is fine, it leaves it to the default number of spells on the card, to prevent RoSS interaction making things too insane.

Let’s not break it for clerics trying to add Druid. If the core problem is damage spells, make the Token only work with non Damage spells?

That wording is a way to allow conversion of standard actions into free actions without adding more actions to the arsenal. This could also work for wizards, druids, bards, etc. "zero level spells are free actions", etc.

It gives the flexibility to do the same amount of things as quick or as slow as you want to as a character. You can burn yourself out earlier or you can play the long game.

Just some food for thought.

Go back to the original, but add the caveat of Non-damage spells. I'm in for that (I think)

“5/game” just seems tough to keep track of.

And I agree, it’s been nerfed to keep Druids on it.

I’d much rather no counting to five. Just say no damage spells.

Druids are better healers than clerics, and now they’ll be almost as good at spell damage as wizards. And they’re better at Polymorph than wizards. That all strikes me as super-unbalanced.

Bards are jack of all trades, masters at none (except singing). Druids are jack of all trades, masters of all. The simplest option is just take them off this ring. They have other toys. Sorry not sorry.

All that said, some of us have no ring slots to spare. My fingers are full of Focus and Eldritch for extra heals.

What does this new version not allow clerics to do that they wanted to do with the original?

So Restore Power can't restore a spell that causes damage?

Or just restricted to casting 1st level spells as a free action?

I don’t think the Druid hate is helpful in this thread. This is a post LoDS nerf world and there is room in parties for both Clerics and Druids. We should be able to come up with good suggestions without bashing on Druids.
