I understand the benefit of the Semi-Lich Skull was focused towards people who don’t make this eldritch Skull, but it seems odd that the Semi-Lich Skull doesn’t interact with this eldritch Skull at all and actually provides a benefit that is arguably better as Semi-Lich + 7 teeth than Skull of Cavadar. If the Semi-Lich Skull is intended to be a “consolation” for those who don’t make the Skull of Cavadar, it should feel like a consolation and not a debatable choice where it is worth preventing people from transmuting 7 loose teeth. The easiest fix would be just tk make the level 8 psychic power be +7 max hp, does not count as your psychic power. Or just say you can equip the Semi-Lich and Skull of Cavadar so even though it wasn’t intended for Cavadar holders, it just accepts that it is needed to ensure people transmute.

I think it is important people feel a desire to transmute it instead of keeping 7 teeth and using one of the existing 3 URs or 2 Rares.

I think it is important people who acquire Skull of Cavadar in 2023 understand they missed the fun event, but still feel like it is valuable, like how RoSP still feels valuable to people even now.


Even something as simple as the skull giving 2 uses of psychic and the level 8 being +5HP per other psychic enabler you have equipped or something.

It was definitely clearly stated last year.


I skipped design last year.

I bought the semi lich skull specifically because it was a slotless trigger for the teeth which I have owned but never had active this year.

There was NOTHING mentioned anywhere outside of the design pages that I was not a part of to indicate the semi lich skull would become useless once I made the transmute.

coming into it from that direction it sucks.


I didn't even think of this, but for people who acquired the semi-lich skull and don't frequent the forums, were they informed that if they transmuted the teeth that the semi-lich becomes worthless (unless they want to acquire more teeth)? I could see that making some people unhappy, just not sure how many fall into that camp.

2022. Location will be determined by what location is safe to hold it. We will have minimum 6 months notice. If you can not attend it you can transfer your unique ticket code to another player.

The rod of seven parts was extremely cheap to make. It was 1 of each rod segment and 1 of each trade good other than golden fleece. (Gold not included) I'm assuming this will be the same. So it should be MUCH cheaper to make than a Relic

That's good to hear, I didn't spend enough on tokens to get rod segments until #6/7.

With the number of potential sets this has the potential to be a fairly large size event of several hundreds of people. 6 months notice and a year to transmute (say Mar-Dec 2021) it to get the code is good timing.

Since the Amethyst Ovoid provides the immunity to Psychic Blast, why would equipping or not equipping the Skull have anything to do with that?

Cool.

Where exactly in the text of the token was I supposed to inherently know that it would not consider the transmuted token to be all 7 pieces of the transmute. Especially given that the full Rod gives the effects of all 7 segments at the same time.

There is nothing on the token itself to indicate that it would become useless 1 year later if I were planning to transmute the teeth.

there's not even a reference in the tokendb entry indicating that the transmuted skull would not count as unique teeth for it.

I have a recommend that might work for the transmute. So it is going to take all 7 teeth we know. IF it is like the R07P it would be 1 of all trade goods (no gold, no golden fleece). Would an alternate that required ALL 7 Seven teeth and one of the UR psychic enablers be a good alternative to the trade goods?

I passed on it based on what Jeff said during Dungeon design. I figured I could pick one up later from an 8k auction if need be.
