Seem like good options to mirror the completion rare this season

Unless they are planned for future completion tokens. I do think that completion tokens are (or should he) slightly better than an average rare.

I'm guessing what you mean, but let me try to make it explicit:

This token would allow Bardsong while performing melee attacks, and convey +1 damage above standard Bardsong?

Yes. (I believe the blowgun flute to be essentially worthless)

I would definitely disagree. Rare level bards have a token that let's them bardsong and attack, instead of forcing the choice.

I am fine with a one handed melee weapon, but I dont think Bards have access to 2 handed melee weapons.

A quick tokendb search shows I am not quite right, there are 3 common staves that bards can use.

Yeah, but if you have the Lyre of Lore (just re-released), you should always choose the Lyre of Lore, unless you have more ranged damage boosts than your party can hit at +3 damage and +1 to hit. (a very small party where not everyone is attacking, or not everyone has a ranged weapon? An all-casters party?)

Basically the Flute is for players who prioritize the feeling of attacking over party success, or players who don't have the Lyre of Rage, Lore, Echoes, or Magnificent Bard's Instrument (I'd definitely pick those 2 UC instruments over the Rare flute)

I chose 2-handed because (so far) all instruments are 2-handed, lyres/guitars are 2-handed, and it would prevent you using the Footman set/another shield, so it has some drawback.
I came here to sing and collect tokens, and I'm alllll out of money.

That could be a hard call. Might have to give one round of attacks to get more damage on the next.

Possibly, make the potion a free action to take to allow attacking the same round. This would make it easier to use.

I think TD generally steers clear of things one player can do that negatively impact another player (electrocuting people in water being an exception....)

Non UR bards have no option to participate in combat outside of the Lyre of Echos or the Blowgun Flute.

Both are actively used. The flute allows more actions in combat.

Lyre of Lore is good for the party BAD for the Bard who wants to participate in combat.

It's a good thing to have tokens that allow for both options.

You may feel the Blowgun Flute is a bad token but there are many Rare level Bards who disagree with you

Read right past that part. Maybe just -2AC for the character drinking the potion.

I'd like to hear from Bards who have access to Lore and choose Flute, but if so, you could just do the Axe without the +1 Damage. I wouldn't use it (mayyybe if I built a STR bard build), but I would still like to have it.

True. I really liked the idea of being able to buff up the Golem during these VTD events to provide a benefit.

What about an UR potion that didn't provide the -AC, but still provided the damage bonus for one round?
I tend to avoid UR consumables, though.

UR is a very tough sell due to cost versus benefit.

Possibly an easy to transmute 3 point token.
