OK, now that we're less than 2 weeks from this event, thought I'd get the team thinking about it again.
First, classes - Kim, it's your decision if you want to discuss your first or second option with those who expressed an interest in Barbarian or Druid, or if you just want to go with Paladin. Fiddy, it's up to you if you're ok with the classes left; Dwarf Fighter, Fighter or Bard or want to discuss with others? Based on a lengthier thread a month or so ago, anything not negotiated in advance will result in a roll-off.
Second, logistics - I think TD at GHC is electronic tickets. Since Fiddy technically purchased the 10 tickets, I'm not sure if we need to meet him outside registration or how that will work. This shouldn't be a big deal and I'm certain with this group everyone will come prepared with their builds, so the coaching room will go quickly.
Third, special rules - I think we're pretty agreed that essentially our goal is to treat this like a 14 room dungeon. So, in effect, everything at the end of room 7 is considered frozen (no healing, no swapping of equipment, no recovery of spells used in the first 7 rooms). We'll have to pause to collect our mid-adventure treasure. The next coaching room should go quickly. I think if we explain in epilog, we can just keep our lanyards, lights, etc and just take them into part 2 of our adventure. I'll snap a pic of the party card from E2 and the coach can just use that to create the E3 party card. Should go real quick and if anyone has to use the restroom in between, it shouldn't be a problem.
That's about it. I think anything else from a strategy standpoint we can discuss in the first coaching room. I'm assuming Nightmare level of difficulty unless Epic is offered and everyone wants to try that. Although, I think I heard that was not available at GHC. We shouldn't have too much trouble keeping people alive, but certainly if someone dies in the first 7 rooms we'll have to make sure they are alive at least to start the second 7. I'm sure we can work it out. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone on the 31st.
