I see it like others see the ISFP versus the new 2020 rare IS completion token.

I am ok with both things occurring.

What 2018 version do you speak of?

I know a lot of those old holy greatswords are out there and are going cheap ($40-$50) so the secondary market would love to dump them but it isn't quite an apples to apples comparison.

Care to point out where a lot of these $40 to $50 great swords are? TD tavern is sold out though I don’t know for how long. Trent has one for 90. I did a quick search and couldn’t find any but again it was a quick search.

Pretty much this. It seems like it would end up being a nice bonus for people who still have an old UR from 12 years ago, but also not nearly high enough quantity to be problematic for +2 holy avenger sales.

They may be out of circulation but these have been buying and selling at 50 for years now - I’ve probably had 4 or so pass through my hands in that ballpark in the last 3 years

I think both UR swords might be in demand in 2021 since the 2019 UR will be out of print a year before the relic recipe expires.

I am surprised to see ANY recipes this year that require 2019 Monster Bits without an alternate option after Jeff came out and said that the lower drop rate on Bits this year was unintended.

I think every 2019 Bit required in this year's transmutes should allow a gold/other bit alternate.

I think that requiring them after the snafu with drop rate is going to hurt a lot of people's ability to make these mid-range transmutes.

This may or may not be related, but it also seems to me that transmute recipes are based solely on what the largest collectors have available, and that the same large collectors are the only ones who have much influence on the token design/recipe process. It often feels comments from like players like me are not noticed or perhaps even ignored. (I consider myself a mid-range buyer with one build that has many purples and a few relics) The requirement on these small transmutes of a single Monster Bit from a mistakenly scarce year will mean that I have to break the complete set that I spent time and effort collecting while at the one convention I was able to attend last year.

Perhaps the transmute recipes that use Bits for a given year should be released BEFORE the bits are available in treasure pulls. Let people know what they need so they can make informed trades at and after a convention.

QTR 2020.08 Beta has updated recipes.
If September 12 does not appear in the footer, you're looking at an old version.
We need to send this off to the printer soonly, so if you have any last-minute needed changes, post them right away.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .
If I write something in teal, it should not be taken seriously

Looks like no changes on 3 or 4*, minimal changes on relics (I didn't check legendary).

+3 Holy Avenger
Allows +2 Holy Great Sword

Medallion of Furious Attack
+1 Bismuth

Spirit Drake
-5 Steel
+1 Bismuth
+1 EM

Pendant of the yew:
more expensive.
+5 steel
-2 bismuth
-2 munitions
+5 hide

I guess this means you're dead set on 2020 relics being dramatically more expensive than 2019, and you desire for Hide and Steel to be the constraining factors on Relic Creation?

Drakes relic still seems high but not backwards with the Dwarven steel going up at the legendary level. It still seems high specifically compared to Sunhide Robe . I guess inflation over 3 years of that amount might be acceptable, weapons have always been higher in value, maybe the necklaces are more like weapons than say the druids relic or legendary necklace.

Would still like to see more MS and PS and less DS and MH.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

You are slighting off from last version to this
Medallion of Furious Attack
1 Bismuth more
Pendant of the yew
5 more steel
2 less bismuth
2 less munitions
5 more hides.
You either discover a star or you don't. You arrogant punk.

Thanks for the catch. Chalk it up to being annoyed that the high DS and MH requirements are still there. I refreshed the PDF at least twice figuring I had the wrong one, because I couldn't imagine them still being that high.
