I have to say that I am getting some Rougish delight seeing how the Lenses unfolded being someone who wanted/pushed for the Lenses to stay at the +2 with the LoVI powers where they were 85% of the development time. The crusade "not to obsolete/update" a 2013 Token kerfuffle was a completely, unnecessary and pointless uproar. "Oh no a Rogue can backstab with a missile weapon instead of their Melee weapon, they have to choose which style they attack with!" Would that really have made that big of a difference when you look at it closely? +1 to Hit & +1 AC..... A generous Trade in was always offered to boot, it's the quintessential Picard head slap moment! LOL, Rogue's can still Backstab with Thor's Hammer, so limiting that made no sense either.

It would have not broke the game nor was it a power creep at all, yet it was labeled as such. A lot of Rogues would have lost a point of Dex from trading in the Fae Lenses. The reason to make this better post mess was that the Fae Lenses gave zero incentive to get the really limited version at the time and there were no suitable bows. Jeff & Druegar made the right choice for this forced juncture. We have to live with it now.

Watch what you wish for folks.

+1
It's pretty ridiculous that there is now another last minute effort to kill this on what is supposed to be the Final iteration when it should never have changed two revisions ago.

Time to move on.

These could be the final images but I think there have been years where there were Final final final final images. The Ring of Wonder just entered the picture during this discussion. So I dont have a problem recommending a Token change if I think one is warranted.

They could be and there were years where that happened, very few but it has happened. In my opinion, this gives a vibe of being a little underhanded at this point when a lot of guards down. I too don't have a problem and have every right to recommend staying put, moving on and pointing out how pointless this was. That's what the development process was for.

Boom goes the Devil Drake when this Rogue slides a 20 with a Holy Hand Grenade.

I understand frustration here.

But I don’t have a problem with discussing tokens that have changed significantly.

I do find it annoying when we plow the same ground over tokens that have not changed over many multiple iterations.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

Seriously - there have been legendaries pulled shortly before this point in design in years past. Not modified, just dropped entirely.

I don't relax until the transmute recipes are posted :).

I don’t relax until they appear in the token store.

Good point - I'm not sure exactly when Ioun Stone Fluorite Cube was changed from +3 to +2, but I think it was after the final final final version ;).

And my wizard is happy he waited to year two and found out the wands were not staying infinitely reusable. He was happy to see a build (wands) that did not use MEC as he didn’t have one, that he might be able to get into, and then it went away the next year. He doesn’t even equip his Medallion any longer in favor of 2 ac. Instead it sits until he creates his legendary robes.

That's the same thing I'm doing now too....just sitting on the MoMM waiting to make robes if the stat rework is favorable.
Fall down......Go boom!

At one point I read where Jeff said we could trade in Lenses of Vital Insight for the new Lenses... I've lost track of the discussion, is that trade-in still going to be available?

I don’t know where to put this, there isn’t a 2021 token dev yet.
Corset +2 dex +4 con “armor” for all classes?
Blouse + constitution shirt for the transmute?
Skirt of dexterity +3 dex in the legs slot (I know it didn’t make the cut this year, but maybe next?)

I’m not calling it original or not “power creep” but the idea that with enough HP I may not care “build option” and some more lady like options, or madame like options, might be appreciated by some.
